WRUP: Elementary, my dear Watson edition

This week's releases mark a sequel to the first Touch Detective game from Atlus. Aside from Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck, it's the highest profile title on the list, for us at least. In fact, we're feeling like we're in the mood to solve a mystery, but with so many games coming out in the next few months, we're not sure if our budget will allow it. In fact, we should probably go check our finances right now.

While we're doing that, why not let us know what you folks will be playing this weekend?

WRUP: Gee, we wonder what you're playing edition

Let's think of a release that most of you are probably knee-deep in? Tough one, right? Well, we're fairly confident that it's none other than ... The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. Yup, out of the long list of games that released, we're absolutely certain that's the game you're playing. If we had to bet body parts on it, we would be rich in organs.

So, tell us of your adventures with Spyro and how much fun you're having with it. Because, you are. That's what you're playing. We know it is.

WRUP: Japan gets sloshed edition

While us folk who reside in the states haven't got much in the way of new games to play this week, Japan is getting a "game" we've been dying to get our hands on: Bartender DS. Sure, we can do what we always do and go down to the store and drop a couple bucks on the cheapest, most foul-tasting beer and get plastered, but variety is the spice of life. We'd actually like to know how to prepare a drink or two, so we can avoid looking like a total scumbag in social situations. Oh well, looks like we won't be able to do that for some time.

What are you planning on playing this weekend?

WRUP: Our adventure to rush and get Sonic edition

Please, take your fingers and cross them. We have a plan, a most dangerous of ideas: we're going to go out into the world and purchase a video game. In case you were wondering, we're going to snag ourself a copy of Sonic Rush Adventure. Looking at this week's releases, it's the only title that appeals to us.

What about you, fine reader? Will you be picking up a new game to play this weekend, or will it be something else? What are you playing?

WRUP: Drawn to jam edition

This week's releases included a little game by the name of Jam Sessions. Oh, and another called Drawn to Life. And we're not even including all of the wonderful releases hitting other territories. So, there's plenty of titles available to gamers looking for something new to play.

Will you get your jam on, or do you plan to release your inner artist? What will you be playing?

WRUP: Phoenix heads to a new territory edition

The U.S. doesn't get much in the way of new releases this week, but that doesn't mean there isn't cause for celebration. Why, our very favorite franchise is headed to the land down under. If that isn't a cause for celebration, we don't know what is. But, then again, if you're a dedicated DS gamer in the region, there's a good chance you already imported it.

So, what are you playing?

WRUP: Putting for par edition

Of this week's U.S. releases, there's really only one title of note for us: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. The golfing genre of games has always captivated us, as we enjoy driving and putting on virtual fairways and greens, but in the real world we couldn't swing a club to save our life.

Will you be hitting the links, or do you plan on giving another game (or games) a go? What are you playing?

WRUP: Getting that brain in shape edition

This week's obvious release is none other than the sequel to Nintendo's non-game, Brain Age. Sure, there are some other titles on the list, but we're assuming most of you already have gotten or will be getting your hands on Brain Age 2. Does your brain need it, or have you just been playing Brain Age this entire time, every day, to keep in shape for the release?

WRUP: Complete lack of motivation edition

Maybe this week was extremely tough for us, or perhaps we're just imagining things, but we can't think of anything better to do than to crawl into bed and sleep forever. For some odd reason, we don't even have the desire to play any games. It's like pushing buttons and the like are too much work for us in our current state. Maybe we should just down a pot of coffee or something.

But, just because we're feeling that way doesn't mean you all are. Of course, it's the weekend and that means it's time to rejoice! With games! And, what games would you plan on celebrating another week down the drain with? Any of them going to be new releases?

WRUP: A bot of mega proportions edition

With this week's releases consisting of different games starring a robotic boy, if you're looking for a new game then you best be a fan of Capcom's Mega Man franchise. If you aren't (we'll pretend we didn't hear that), what games will you plan on rocking this weekend? We know if you live in Japan, you'll have plenty to play. Then again, if you live in Japan, you're probably a spoiled jerk.

Sorry, our jealousy gets the best of us sometimes.

WRUP: We're so totally jazzed for Bratz Ponyz edition

As far as this week's releases go, there's only one game we care about: Bratz Ponyz. Who needs puzzles and word problems this week, we want to dress up ponies with all of the latest fashion. Ever since we had to babysit our niece, we've been all kinds of obsessed with those Bratz girls (did you know a movie released today? We already bought our tickets!). Hey, we're not ashamed to say it! And, yes, we ordered the dolls.

So, where we'd normally ask what you're playing, we already know you're going to get your Bratz on with us. Hey, even if our review for Picross DS was favorable doesn't mean you should neglect a pony in need!

WRUP: We want to be the Taiko Drum Master edition

Oh, the reasons why we wish we were Japanese just keep piling on, as Japanese gamers celebrate the release of Taiko Drum Master on the DS this week. Seriously, we're dying to get our hands on this game. Sure, we could import it, but who wants to navigate Japanese menus? Damn our laziness!

Enough about us and our desires. What are you planning on playing this weekend?

WRUP: We wish we were Japanese edition

With the Japanese getting all of the good releases this week, we find ourselves in the same position we're always in: wishing we were Japanese. Like that musical group The Vapors, who found themselves "Turning Japanese," we would welcome the surprise of suddenly finding ourselves within that country's confines, ripped away from our all-too-familiar surroundings and thrust into a land where we do not speak the language. Actually, when we think about it, maybe that isn't such a good thing. We'd at least like to pack some clothes and a dictionary first!

Enough of us and our ridiculous imagination, though. We want to know what you're playing! So, do us a solid and tell us what you'll be playing on your DS this weekend? We swear we aren't selling the information to anybody!

WRUP: Post-E3 playing plans edition

With E3 coming to a close, you've no doubt many things to think about this weekend. Upcoming games and future enjoyment of them is probably on your mind right now, as it is ours. That doesn't mean your, or our, responsibility to enjoy some nice gaming over the weekend can be overlooked, though!

So, we ask: what are you playing? What will you be rocking in your DS this weekend? We've got some Puzzle Quest to play ourselves, having only given the game a few minutes of our time on its initial purchase.

WRUP: Sick of Sudoku edition

This week's releases might not be all that fabulous to those of us outside of Japan, but at least we're still getting something new to play. Even if it is just another Sudoku game. For us, it doesn't matter much, as our backlog just grows larger by the week, so we're already knee-deep in games that need to be played.

What about you? What will you be playing?
