5. I don't get all the fuss that goes around any new OS. Don't we all spend 95% of our time in the higher layers, that is, in applications? The OS, I see it only when it fails!
Anyway, as far I have understood, Vista gives me vastly less bangs for my bucks, especially those I have spent on hardware. I prefer knowing my CPU and GPU cycling on my own demand and for my own direct benefit. Shouldn't we all be growing a conscience about our usage of energy nowadays?
SP3 for XP sounds like a very good news as I also hope being able to turn of that automatic update mess after that. 6 years of beta testing should start to show some benefits.
