Hello, it's been a while.

As I navigate the twists and turns of a new career, the comic has fallen by the wayside. It's been unfortunate, but unavoidable. Digital Unrest was a fun diversion that helped keep me sane as an undergrad some 6 years ago when it debuted. In the time since the last true comic update, I at last completed my doctorate and was thus forced to abandon the moniker of "student" I lovingly clung to for so long. As there's tough competition for scientific jobs, research productivity immediately following graduation is critical for positioning oneself for long-term employment. So that's where I'm at now.

The comic is not dead, but it is in suspended animation and it's going to be slow to wake. There will be new content, but it's going to be some time before it's weekly. When a good idea hits me and I'm able to draw it, I will. I appreciate every person who has ever taken a moment to read a strip here and I wouldn't implement such a reader-unfriendly update schedule unless there was absolutely no other way. I hope you'll forgive the situation and continue to stop by every now and then.

As you can see in the above image, I'm relaunching DU as a stylistic sci-fi techno-drama. Just kidding. That image was generously offered by readers Mark (http://lumanaru.deviantart.com/) and Dave (http://sundavid168.deviantart.com/). Thank you, guys. I love the alternate universe concept and am thankful for the support!
