Now that he's finished running his victory lap around 50 Cent, Kanye West will launch his own line of jewelry. The 30-year-old rapper has teamed up with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, the same person responsible for West's 'Graduation' album cover art, to create a jewelry collection that West says "will be more accessible, they won't be all diamonds."

West previewed a piece from his forthcoming line by donning a gold, Manga-style diamond pendant at the Givenchy Spring/Summer fashion show in Paris last week. No release date for the collection has been set.

Foxy Brown announced Thursday that she's launched a new official web site, FreeFoxyBrown.com, in order to keep in contact with her fans while she serves her time in the slammer. The incarcerated rapper was sentenced to one year in jail in September for violating probation. Brown, whose real name is Ingrid Marchand, was on probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an altercation with two manicurists in August 2004. The rapper continued her run of bad behavior and was arrested in February 2007 after allegedly throwing a bottle of hair glue at an employee in a Florida beauty salon. She was indicted on assault charges in August 2007 for allegedly throwing her cell phone at her neighbor in Brooklyn.

Despite her legal woes -- and rumors that she was three months pregnant at the time of her hearing -- Brown has been in relatively good spirits. "This is just a temporary situation," Brown said following her sentencing. "I made my bed and have no problem lying in it. My will is steady. What doesn't kill me will only make me stronger. I think there are greater injustices in that require our immediate attention, like what's going on in Jena, Louisiana. I will not surrender, I'm fine, free Jena Six!"

R&B singer Ray-J (who happens to be Brandy's little brother) is putting the finishing touches on his memoir, tentatively titled Sex Machine. The narrative, due out this spring, will recount Ray-J's industrious sex life, including his relationship with Hollywood socialite -- and co-star in the crooner's hard-core adult video -- Kim Kardashian. The sex tape surfaced online in March of this year, but Kardashian took legal action to stop distribution of the tape in May.

Ray-J, 26, who has been romantically linked to Whitney Houston, Lil' Kim and fellow author Karrine Steffans (aka Superhead) over the years, will also give details of escapades with more than 1,100 women. The memoir will also document Brandy's recent legal troubles stemming from a fatal car crash, along with a full account of Ray-J's first sexual encounter at age ... 10?!

According to the intro of the leaked track 'Hood Star,' Bow Wow and Omarion's upcoming album, 'Face Off,' is "what the world has been waiting for." Good news for fans: the wait is whittled down to just two more months. The duo will release their highly-anticipated collaborative effort in December.

'Hood Star' touts the massive success between the two and with zero exaggeration given that the pair's last joint effort, 'Let Me Hold You' -- the first single from Bow Wow's 2005 album, 'Wanted' -- peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was that song that earned Bow Wow his first-ever Top 10 single, and Omarion -- formerly of B2K -- his first Top 10 as a solo artist.

As if a Bow Wow-Omarion album weren't heavyweight enough, 'Face Off' will also feature a slew of chart toppers, including Ciara, Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri and Akon.

Live TV, like damn," he joked mid-rhyme, and threw in a freestyle at the end just in case you thought he didn't have skills. Somewhere in Southern California, Britney must have giggled.

The multifaceted Pharrell Williams and the Neptunes, have made an indelible mark in the world of music production. Crafting hits like Nelly's 'Hot in Herre' have won the duo three Grammys. Now, Pharrell is looking to add television producer to his resume with the upcoming ABC project 'Limelight.'

"This project reminded me a lot of my own life growing up, " the N*E*R*D singer told Variety of the drama, which will focus on talented students at a NYC performing arts school. "Coming from a different environment where we stuck out for having abilities that we later learned, after attending a school like this, were actually gifts and talents."

Fellow 'Limelight' producer McG seemed thrilled about the 34-year-old talent's involvement in the show. "Pharrell is the ultimate embodiment of credibility in this space," he said. "He attended a performing arts high school and went on to become the most prolific producer of our generation."

In his latest attempt to take over the world, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is planning to sponsor his own arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey -- named after his Rocawear clothing brand.

The 37-year-old entrepreneur -- who owns a portion of the New Jersey Nets -- is currently in talks with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority over naming rights to the arena, which is currently held by Continental Airlines. Continental plans on removing its name from the stadium now that the New Jersey Devils are moving to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The new owner can expect to pay anywhere from $600,000 per year to $2 million. NJSEA will evaluate the proposals and could make a decision by Oct. 4.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z is set to release his latest project, 'American Gangster,' inspired by the upcoming film of the same name, on Nov. 6.

The evolution of a stage name is usually an interesting story. Eminem, for example, was taken from the rapper's real initials: (M)arshall (M)athers. 50 Cent -- real name Curtis James Jackson III -- adopted his stage name to preserve the legacy of an infamous Brooklyn robber who earned the nickname from robbing just about anyone, even if all they had was spare change. "I'm the same kind of person 50 Cent was," the rapper told AOL Music on a visit to Sessions, "I provide for myself by any means."

But how did he get from "50 Cent" to "Fiddy"? Eccentric manager-turned-TV star Sharon Osbourne coined the abbreviated version. "My name was 50 Cent until Sharon Osbourne said 'Fiddy' at the BET Awards," the rapper said. "Then it changed. After that, it was either/or, depending on how people feel!"

Now, a key witness in Biggie's murder trial is speaking out. Former R&B artist Waymond Anderson, currently serving a life sentence for an unrelated murder case, is conceding that during his testimony, he lied about the involvement of two members of the Los Angeles police department in the rapper's murder. According to his deposition, Anderson originally fingered former officers Rafael Perez and David Mackin to receive a portion of the settlement from B.I.G.'s family and their lawyer.

"I don't know David Mack, I don't know Rafael Perez," Anderson said in the deposition reported in the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday. "It was a lie, and I'm ashamed of it." Read the full story.
