Microsoft (MSFT) wins a fierce battle with Google (GOOG) to sell advertisements for the popular social networking site Facebook. As part of the deal, Microsoft will invest $240 million for a minority stake in the company.

Consumers all over America will soon be able to enjoy protection previously only offered to victims of identity theft. All three major credit bureaus will allow people to 'freeze' their credit files on request, locking potential troublemakers out from accessing this sensitive information.
FTC to Keep Numbers on Do Not Call List

Numbers that were set to expire in June 2008 will now get a reprieve thanks to a reversal by the Federal Trade Commission that will keep all numbers on the list until new rules are legislated.
