Weekly Webcomic Wrapup: unexpected edition

Previously on Webcomic Wrapup.

Ordinary bloggers make extraordinary discoveries. Such as the existence of a life outside of the internets.

A man with horn-rimmed glasses visits us, tells us we're not special. We wonder why he even bothered to visit, but before we can ask him, a Haitian puts his hand on my head and ... well, we don't know , exactly, but we checked our watch and it appears we were knocked out for well over a day. Our only memory is one of sheer horror.

Apologies for the delay in the wrapup, blame the man in horn-rimmed glasses. Here are our picks for the week's best game-related webcomics; be sure to vote for your favorite!

My dearest wish
J'acuse!
A New Hope
Enough is enough [Edit: link fixed]
Baked goods
Dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight
E for Most
The eye sees all
It's not what you think! (guest strip)

I disagree, not that great of a week.
I had to vote VGCats. It was the only truly funny comic this time. But Digital Unrest came close.

VGCats and CADきゃど were good, but CADきゃどs joke was more original

E for Most (2P Start) could've been good if they had tweaked it somehow. Personally, i think E for All would succeed if it wasn't just one more trade show on the WEST COAST. Move it to New York, Philly, Cleveland, somewhere

and yeah, RPG-TV's link is broken

Anime itself is lame :/

VGcats was awesome is not the portal reference but the way they did the portal reference lmao.

J'acuse was a clever one, CADきゃど was hilarious it was though to choose just one.

I meant to email you, but I know you'll read this if I publish it as a reply. Because, although I did think HCF was funny this week, it alas was not game-related so I couldn't run it. Sorry, I gotta keep up with the theme.

How the hell are boob jokes winning this thing? Oh, yeah, the geeks... In any case, I voted the second one because Nolan Bushnell is a douche and I'm glad someone finally stuck it to him. Ralph Baer invented video games, and he gets squat in terms of recognition... Someone, please sodomize Douchenell until he admits stealing all the credit?

It's not the boob joke (that bit isn't funny at all), it's the alternate Portal ending. It seems that now-a-days, all a comic needs to be funny is a Portal reference. This week, sadly, that comic was the only one to make me laugh.

VG Cats due to the Portal alternate ending for me. Chell Aeris looks cute. And I hate furries, too, so that's a big deal.

PA is a little iffy, I don't think you picked the best one this week.

I agree, there were a lot of good ones this week. But I had to go with Dueling Analogs just for the simplicity of their joke. I seem to always love their one panel strips.

It's funny if you get the history: Ralph Baer was the man who actually pioneered the technology that made video games possible, so he, in effect, invented video games. Nolan Bushnell only made it into a business, but he often takes credit, or is given credit for, actually inventing the technology. Which he didn't.

Between CADきゃど and VGcats, VGcats gets my vote this week. The alternate ending made me laugh my pants off! Scott did a nice job this week if I have to say so.

And yes, I've to agree with Neebs. PA isn't funny anymore, like it used to be. I'm not really sure why it has suddenly started to suck though...

Star Wars Katamari got my vote. 2P Start was excellent though because it is really true to the heart. Ctrl-Alt-Del gets point because it's so evil.

I felt that VGcats took the easy way out of humour, as well as Digital Unrest: it's funny and classic, but not as witty as they usually are in my opinion. =)

I went with VG cats only reason why I didn't go for the J'acuse comic is because I don't agree. Oh yes, Nolan Bushnell is a jerk off that stole property of others and called it his, and deserves a pineapple in his ass in hell that lodges another pineapple further up his rectum then another pineapple out of that one till he spits them up every minute.

But how does that change the fact of what he said about halo being true or false? If somebody used that attack on Bill gates to discredit the Xbox360 people would just look past it though he used the same business tactic. Yet because Bushenell insulted a game what he did was suddenly the evilest thing ever, and discredits what he says?

VG cats was the best of the week by far. Although we didn't make the list, feast your eyes upon the next Uwe Boll crapfest.

I'd see it as a midnight showing!

I stopped reading this week comics when I clicked VGcats,That one sir wins and I dare you to prove me wrong.

PORTAL FTW.
