Grey's Anatomy: Haunt You Every Day

Elizabeth Reaser as Ava/Rebecca on Grey's Anatomy.
(S04E05) "Get it? He's trick-or-treating. For ears."- Meredith

She's baaaack! Ugh... before I even get to you know who, let me just say a thing or two about theme episodes. I hate 'em. Halloween. Christmas. National Bologna Day. I don't care what's being celebrated. I hate that simply because of the season, good shows are forced to come up with ridiculous episodes that too often suck. That being said, this one wasn't so bad. It was far less Halloween-y than the previews led us to believe.

Survivor China: That's Love, Baby! It Makes You Strong!

Todd Herzog from Survivor China(S15E06) Now that I've been reviewing Survivor: China using the actual episode titles, I have to worry that the world might run out of exclamation points. Everything is always so ... so ... emphatic in these titles. Perhaps the castaways, Courtney in particular, should save energy and not exclaim so much. I mean, after all, there has to be wasted calories, right? Todd doesn't have much meat on his bones, either.

At least it won't be a reenactment of the Donner Party, I guess. Although that might be better than the seasonal gross foods challenge which took place in tonight's episode.

30 Rock: Rosemary's Baby

Carrie Fisher

(S02E04) Notice I don't have a quote above like I usually do? More on that after the jump.

This week we discover what happens when one of the NBC page jackets is damaged, why Tracy shouldn't be involved in dogfighting, and what might happen to Liz in 20 or 30 years if she doesn't start saving money.

Scrubs: My Own Worst Enemy (season premiere)

Scrubs: My Own Worst Enemy
(S07E01)
One thing I can say about the season premiere of Scrubs' seventh and last season: It wasn't as lurchingly awkward as last year's season premiere. Or most of the first half of last season, for that matter. But that doesn't mean it was good.

There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, but most of the jokes fell pretty flat. And none of the flatness had anything to do with the conclusion of last year's cliffhanger, where J.D. and Elliot, trying to escape some big life changes, lie next to each other, and kinda sorta lean in for a kiss...

Some good and bad Battlestar Galactica news

battlestar galacticaSo, you've been enjoying those "Razorettes" we've been posting here lately, have you? Good. Good. There will be more of those in the coming weeks. And... AND... then, the Battlestar Galactica: Razor movie! Woo!

I've also heard some other potentially good news lately regarding our beloved series. It turns out that, due to the looming writers strike and how it could put a halt to new television for a while, there are reports that NBC may consider airing old episodes of Battlestar Galactica... on NBC!

OK, now for the bad news...

Stargate: Atlantis and Eureka both get another season

Joe Fkanigan - AtlantisGood news everyone. Or, good news for those of you that have a penchant for the SciFi original programming at least. The network has announced that they have ordered the fifth season of Stargate: Atlantis (20 episodes), which comes on the heels of the announcement for a third season of Eureka (13 episodes).

The SG-1 spinoff has performed well in its first season out of big brother's shadow. The show is currently averaging 1.8 million viewers, well above SciFi's 1.3 million prime time average. For its part, Eureka continues to be very popular, with the network touting it as bringing "3 million new viewers to the channel." I'm not sure how that number works out, but if it means more Eureka, I'm all for it. Unfortunately, there was no word on the fate of Flash Gordon. Although, the fact that the show at least got a mention in the article gives some hope.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

TV Land to air supermodel reality show, for some reason

TV Land logoFans of TV Land have probably been hitting themselves in the head, like they do in those V-8 commercials, wondering when the cable channel was going to debut a reality show that searches for the next great supermodel.

The answer to that question is summer 2008.

That's the launch date for She's Got The Look (formerly titled The Next Great Supermodel, but that was probably too similar to America's Next Top Model for comfort), a new reality show that will look for a new 35-plus supermodel. That's age, not IQ. Though I guess it could also refer to their weight.

Bob Woodruff returns, while Maria Shriver resigns

Maria ShriverMaria Shriver is leaving television news, and it's all Anna Nicole Smith's fault.

The ex-NBC newswoman and wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says that TV coverage of the death of Anna Nicole Smith (and all of the other stories that came from her death) led her to quit TV news forever. She made the comments during a speech at the Conference For Women. She says that watching the nonstop coverage made her realize that TV news had changed and she no longer wanted to be a part of it. She has plenty to do as First Lady anyway.

"Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" has become a web hit

30 Rock

In my review of the October 11 episode of 30 Rock, I wondered if NBC would put up the entire video for Tracy Jordan's 80s novelty song "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" ("Werewolf Bar Mitzvah/Spooky/Scary/Boys becoming men/Men becoming wolves"), and...well, they haven't. But they do have the clip from the show and it has somehow become a hit on the web, even though it lasts only about 6 seconds.

But they did film more of the video. In fact they did four takes that total 15 minutes, so maybe the rest of it will show up in the second season DVD set when it comes out.

BSG: Razor Flashback - First Cylon War - VIDEO

bsg razorThe Battlestar Galactica: Razor Flashback videos keep coming in, though this one's a little late. Like I said, this is where things really get good with these "Razorettes" (as they're being called. Sounds like candy). There's no doubt that Adama was and still is one bad ass mofo. Oh, and if the fight looks over to you at the end of this clip, guess again.

Check out the third video after the jump. You can also go back and check out the rest of the razorettes. Mmm, razorettes.

Marie Osmond says CA fires caused her to faint

OsmondThe other day I had something pretty shocking happen to me. Literally. I got a bad shock in the bathroom. I touched the light switch with wet hands and got a pretty good zap. (I'm OK, thanks!)

And you know what I blame for the electric shock? The recent stock market losses.

I bring this up because of Marie Osmond's explanation as to why she fainted on Dancing with the Stars the other night.
