Bioshock.

Love the little throwbacks to System Shock(alarm timers...) and the atmosphere. This video sold me on the game.

I was going to answer defacto "Lost Planet" but the person playing that game was so bad, I just had to stop watching.

I'd say Blue Dragon or Bioshock.

Metal Gear Solid 4.
Oh yea the guy playing Lost Planet was a complete scrub. He actually made the game almost look bad. Still a purchase though.
Bioshock.

I just hope they don't have enemies that respawn like they did in system shock 2.

I'm somewhat bias, being a SS2 fan, but I LOVE BioShock! I'm glad I have something more than screenshots to salivate over. This deffinitely looks like a thinking person's FPS (See: Deus Ex, System Shock 2). I did like Resistance:Fall of Man, but I'm afraid it's still not enough for me to shell out $600 at launch.

I agree with those lost planet comments. The game looks like a pile of crap by the way the guy was playing. Maybe it was a monkey playing. Surely they could of recorded at least some1 who moves the aimer over the enemies and presses the fire button at least.

Also, that booth babes video is disturbing. Over half the shots are aimed at the lower half of these girls and from a distance with zoom on. some camera man is a peeping Tom. And that music made it sound like the camera man was stalking them
I was playing the Lost Planet demo on my 360 the other day when my mother walks in and stares at the screen for about 2 minutes before asking "whats the point of this game, just to shoot the bugs in the snow? How is this fun?" I thought about it for a second before I realised she wasnt wrong.
I'd say Bioshock, Blue Dragon and Lost Planet... what's that? Yes, they are all on Xbox360... nice.

If you haven't already, get a copy of the 15 minute walkthrough of Bioshock in HD. It's available on IGN among other places. The game looks flat out amazing. The art style, water effects, character animations, etc. are all excellent. It's the best looking game I've seen yet.

"I'm somewhat bias"

Bias is a noun, dude. Kind of like saying "I'm somewhat car" or "I'm somewhat banana".

Hate to nitpick, but this is a pet peeve. This little quirk of non-English seems to be unique to the gaming community. The correct word is "biased."
Thanks for the catalog of videos! Yeah, White Knight (dang racists) looks pretty cool but I think it's more like Fable than Oblivion.

Bioshock - That game just looks so good. I've seen the soon to be released trailer here at work and it is amazing - I can't wait.

Lost Planet - When I downloaded the demo for this game during E3 I wasn't all that impressed, but after seeing the multiplayer, and hearing so much about it I feel that I should give it a second chance.

Blue Dragon - I haven't played a Japanese RPG in a long time, as I got really tired of the linear stories. Blue Dragon, however, looks like a game I could get into. I'm excited to play it and see if my mind can be changed about the JRPG.

Bio Shock looks like it will at least be achieving the greatest laid down by the System Shock games. I'm thinking about getting a X360 for this game.

Is there an estimated release date for that game?

Bioshock fans.....
Don't get too excited with the System Shock and Deus Ex [the original] hype. Bioshock is developed by Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. Deus Ex was Spector, not them, and their games since System Shock 2 were mostly Tribes: Vengeance (bOOOOring) and SWAT 4, which I recall earned Gamespot's Worst Product Placement award. Let your friends try it out first.

Just a question/comment to throw out there: does the battle system in Trusty Bell seem a little unwieldy for single player use? If it's not for multi-player and just for single player, then I'd hope that it is simply incomplete.

Thoughts?

Mmmm, new Phoenix Wright... even though it's not really Phoenix Wright because he's not in it at all. Oh well, maybe it will have a full english translation in the Japanese verison like the last DS one, so I can import it. The last bonus case from the remake made really interesting use of DS features. If this new one uses the DS for all the cases, it will be awesome.

Also, why does nobody seem interested in White Knight Story? Because it's PS3? I think it looks fantastic, and Level 5 has a more than solid history. I'm not a fan of the PS3 in the slightest, but it looks like a great title for me to pick up when I get a PS3 for $200 in a few years and go play all the awesome "old" games for $20 each ;D.

Bioshock looks terrible, and boring. The guy starts off by saying how they want to avoid all the FPS cliches, then the video goes and shows security bots (ala perfect dark) that can be switched off by a obviously labelled security switch! Haven't we all done that before?

Furthermore, as he's talking about exploration he walks into a bathroom - that's not new, good ol' duke nukem 3d did that! Being able to explore a bathroom even though it's not required to progress doesn't make it anything special. All FPS's are exploritory in nature - that's why all the hidden items and health packs are under stairs and in crates!

Also, if this game is meant to avoid cliches, why does the character get stuck in a 'kill everyone in the room to escape the trap' scenario at the end of the clip?

That entire bioshock video could be completed in a couple of minutes if they didn't stop every 2 seconds to try and show something they consider as special.

Fancy water effects are not enough to save this derivative FPS from the dulldrums of mediocrity.

Also, it's taking a step backwards from Doom 3 with the interface of objects such as the security switch and the vending machine. Why can't we see a hand pushing the lever?

Very unimpressed.

Bender, I think you are in the minority here. I'm not saying the game is amazing but if it does what it promises it will be. The things you are picking out that you say are cliches aren't what they said they wanted to change. The exploration of the bathrooms and such is supposedly different from your example of Duke Nukem. This game promises no real linear road that you have to go on. Sure you could walk into bathrooms and stuff in Duke Nukem, but it was always a slight detour.

And the trap at the end? I thought it was great, who says he is gonna have to fight them all. There will most likely be many options on how to get out alive.

Sure the video could have been two minutes long, but it seems the majority of people enjoyed all the 'special' things.

You have a right to your own opinion, but too bad it sucks. :)

Oh...so that was what made Doom 3 revolutionary and why Half-life 2 wasn't innovative at all, the ability to see their hand.

Bioshock is a completely revolutionary FPS, there wasn't a SINGLE crate in the entire video!

I believe this is what they consider a "presentation video" Even though they make it seem that the video is an actual level from the game, I'm sure they didn't want hard to find security controls and other game aspects all over the place making the video a montage of spread out clips. Also some people might like to know about what's happening in the game, and enjoy hearing about their features. Not all of us go "OHHH TITE Grafix, plz blow somthin up!11"

BTW I'm pretty sure you could see a hand and "more" in Trespasser released back in 98.

I hate playing this game called 'GameVideos.com,' that's what sucks
I thought that the BioShock trailer was just ok. ALthough the graphics are great, I'm just not sold on the game. It looks really boring. After watching the 15 minutes of director commentary I was actually less interested in teh game. There are all of these claims that it is revolutionary, and I suppose it is if you count taking out all of the action and just walking around. I never saw one aspect that made me say "now that's a great concept". Maybe there is more to the game and if so , the trailer didn't do it any justice.
Bioshock could quite possibly be the best game I've ever seen, in every way. Ever.

@24 : Warren SPector was also responsible for the terrible Deux Ex 2 and Thief 3... And SWAT 4 is still one of the very best tactical shooters out there. I'm pretty confident about Bioshock myself.
White Knight and Oblivion look absolutely nothing alike. I don't see how you can even make a comparison with that effiminite jrpg crap and a first person western RPG world-simulation.

Bioshock looks incredible.

I don't know much about Bioshock, but that trailer didn't excite me at all. Where is this revolutionary AI he was talking about?

Big Daddy walks around and protects little sister. Splicers attack anyone. The irritant gives them a target. Security system attacks you. The blue thingy gives them a target. It all seemed pretty standard to me.

As for the graphics, they looked pretty nice. The water effects were great. However, the environments weren't spectacular.

Finally, the idea of modding your weapon or your body isn't anything new. This guy did a really bad job of trying to make things sound interesting.

Bioshock looks great, although I can't tell from the current footage if it will actually be deeper than SS2 (which set the bar pretty high). The goal isn't so much complicated AI as it is to create a fully-realized and atmospheric world, and it definitely appears to succeed in that respect.

BTW, I wish people would stop calling Gyakuten Saiban 4 "Phoenix Wright 4". Phoenix only became the main character in GS (aka Ace Attourney) for the 3rd game. Now he's getting his own offshoot game (Phoenix Wright 2), while Gyakuten Saiban is continuing on with a different lead character (again). Gyakuten Saiban =/= Pheonix Wright.

Sorry, with the Doom 3 reference i was talking about the ability to see the information on the device clearly and not having to get a popup on screen. The next sentence about seeing a hand was another comment not related to Doom 3.

I didn't explain that well the first time, my bad.

And you're right Ranaul, I have no idea if the dude must shoot his way out of the room at the end, that was an assumption by me based on the derivative nature of the rest of the game. I could be wrong, and hope that there is another option.

I've heard nothing about Bioshock before this video and again, it didn't impress me one bit.

To each their own, that's why we have such variety in our gaming!

Why does no one say anything about Lost Odyssey? It looks amazing and the fact that it feels like you're playing an FMV is just awesome. And I really want to get an English translation and learn what Trusty Bell is about. And of course, MGS4. Camouflaging is fun!

While Bioshock looks good, I don't see alot of innovation in it. Or maybe the video didn't do justice with this "moral options" that we have in the game, which sounds the most interesting.

And Lost Planet looks like crap.
