The Yankees may have found a replacement for Joe Torre. Former NL Manager of the Year Joe Girardi is negotiating a contract with New York as it tries to end its skid of three straight first-round playoff exits.

The Yankees have offered their managerial job to Joe Girardi. He played catcher for the Bronx Bombers from 1996 to 1999 and managed the Florida Marlins in 2006.
