Play of the Week - Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Posted in Call of Duty, PlayoftheWeek by DeaconBlade on the November 6th, 2007

I don’t have it but there’s no mistaken the hype surrounding Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  Infinity Ward returns to the series and this time they take it to a different era.  Are you ready for modern warfare, perks and crazy multiplayer action?

If you have it, smile at the fact that you’re playing U360’s Play of the Week game.  And that totally makes you famous in a not-really-famous kind of way.

ESPN, Xbox & the Video Marketplace

Posted in Xbox360 by DeaconBlade on the November 5th, 2007

ESPN is coming to an Xbox 360 near you…those of you with access to the Video Marketplace that is.  Microsoft and ESPN said people can purchase complete NCAA basketball and football games, the X Games sports competitions and other programs from the Xbox Live.

ESPN

Xbox 360 users can buy commercial-free standard-definition versions of select NCAA games for $3, and high-definition versions for $4.50, within 48 hours of the game’s conclusion. ESPN TV shows, like the other TV content on Xbox Live, cost $2 for standard-definition and $3 for high-def versions.

“Delivering content through Xbox 360 is another way that we can connect fans with the sports they have such passion for,” said Matt Murphy, senior vice president of digital video distribution for Disney and ESPN Media Networks.

I’m not into NCAA that much so it doesn’t get me excited.  What say you?

Monday Morning Scripted - Gamer Pic Wars

Posted in MondayMorningScripted by DeaconBlade on the November 5th, 2007

Happy Monday!  We had a great live show this weekend and if the site had not undergone a server switch, I would’ve had the next episode ready for you to enjoy via the feed or iTunes.  It is available from the live show page to download though so if you don’t want to wait until tonight when it’s available here, then have at it.

There were plenty of losers in yesterday’s NFL Gamerpic War as the Dallas Cowboys put the beat down on the Eagles.  I’ve already verified a couple who followed through and had to purchase the Cowboys picture pack.  I should partner up with EA Sports on this since.

Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys

Heroes should be good tonight with “another” look into the future.  Seems like they’re following the same format as last season with this kind of episode when it’s not really reality if they can stop whatever it is.  I’m not sure what to think but I’ll be watching tonight.

In Other News: Why I Want Gears of War PC!

Posted in GearsofWar, In Other News by DeaconBlade on the November 2nd, 2007

Hello.  My name is Deacon and welcome to ‘Why I Want Gears of War PC’ or at least why I want a computer that can run Gears of Wars PC.  I know that it’s supposed to work with Windows XP (which I have) but that won’t give me the uber experience needed for this game.  On top of the visual upgrade and the chance to battle different monsters, Gears of Wars for Games for Windows has a ridiculous level editor called Unreal Editor that gave me a goose bump or two.

I know you don’t believe me so that’s why I attached this video below.  It was narrated by Epic Lead Designer Jim Brown. (no not the football player) Take a look at it and you’ll understand why I want to get my little hands on this design tool.  Can someone say include this in Gears of War 2 Cliffy?

See how clever I can be with these things?  I try to keep you all on your toes and provide a little bit of humor once in a while.  (you know you like the title of this) Behold the image below and stare at the next U360 giveaway.  I’m doing this because of the unexpected delay in the final Monday FTW Ultimate Sports Giveaway.

- Mass Effect pre-order bonus material. The game has gone gold and why not enjoy the countdown with some exclusive gamer pics, themes and videos.

- TimeShift pre-order content.  It’s already in stores so why not enjoy an exclusive multiplayer character to battle with.

Update.  Winners. (Falcon009, Pzul, snorkle256, ReaperHybrid, die coward, Brikz3488)
