The Regional Alliance for Preservation (RAP) announces a new centralized source for information and education on collections conservation and preservation, now available on the Web. Museums, libraries, archives, and other repositories of cultural heritage are invited to visit the joint Web site for comprehensive access to the publications and services of the nation's nonprofit regional conservation centers and preservation field services. The site is geared to support training of staff and to provide a ready reference for conservation and preservation professionals.

The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village offers excellent information on their web site concerning preservation of records and artifacts.

Additionally, the Northeast Document Conservation Center offers a great deal of information on-line concerning document preservation.

The IEEE History Center is principally an archive, not a museum. We have adopted a strict policy restricting the accession of artifacts. The History Center will only accession objects into our archives that bear directly on the history of the IEEE. However, we do endeavor to finds appropriate repositories for artifacts.

Our staff will be happy to offer advice and assistance in placing significant artifacts of electrical, electronics, or computer technology in suitable repositories. For more information contact the Center's Archivist at ieee-history@ieee.org
