Institute of parliamentarism in Ukraine is under threat now. That’s what the VR speaker stated today at the press conference after the Conciliation council’s meeting.
He proposed the factions’ leaders to sign a political agreement on resumption of work of the second session of the Verkhovna Rada of the VI convocation.
The agreement will provide expediency of keeping from practicing blocking of the VR’s tribune and presidium as well as it proposes to adopt a compromise agenda for the second session of the VR of the sixth convocation, taking into account points of view of every faction.
“If signatures are not affixed and the VR’s session is not resumed, Ukrainian parliamentarism can be given up for lost. Only two branches are working in the state now – the President of Ukraine and the government”, - Mr. Yatseniuk emphasized.
The VR’s speaker proposed the factions’ leaders to get acknowledged with the draft agreement till Monday, Feb 18, in order to start plenary meetings next Tuesday.
