to address the Reporting Subcomittee's Initial Draft Design Recommendations. This call included a question and answer session for the public.

April 9, 2008   Allocations Conference Call -
to address th Allocation's Initial Draft Design Recommendations. This call included a question and answer session for the public.

March 28, 2008 ~ A teleconference / webinar  gave an overview of WCI's Economic Analysis and modeling activities and the ENERGY 2020 model. This call included a question and answer session for the public

March 26, 2008 - Training Workshop and webinar/teleconference on Offsets in Vancouver, BC ~ 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM  This workshop was organized to support the WCI Offsets design recommendations and provide public input to the process.

March 11, 2008 ~ Two Stakeholder Calls to discuss draft recommendations from Scope and Electricity Subcommittee

Electricity Conference Call -    10:30 am – 12:00 pm PDT

 
Public Comments on Scope and Allocation Draft Recommendations are now posted on the website. Click here. (The next set of draft design recommendations will be issued by the Allocations and Reporting Subcommittees during the week of March 31.  WCI will follow a similar process of conference calls and written comments once those recommendations are released.)

1st Public WorkshpJanuary 10, 2008 in Portland sought public input on the work of the five WCI subcommittees. A Webinar and teleconference of this workshop were available for those unable to attend in Portland. Third Stakeholder Teleconference: 
On December 6, 2007 (Thursday) at 2 pm PST / 3 pm MST the WCI  partners will host their third public teleconference to brief stakeholders on progress of the Subcommittees in implementing the WCI Workplan and to seek public comment.

Second Stakeholder Telconference: On October 31, the partners in the Western Climate Initiative hosted their second a 1-hour conference call to brief interested stakeholders on the status of the project. The principal topic for this meeting was discussion of the recently released WCI Workplan. This plan includes:   
 - Design principles for a regional cap and trade program
 - Communication and stakeholder outreach
 - Specific questions for stakeholder review and comment
 - Workplan elements for the five working subcommittees created by WCI --  
         1.  Allocations 
         2.  Data Reporting
         3.  Electricity 
         4.  Offsets
         5.  Scope

The first WCI stakeholders teleconference was held on Wednesday, August 29, and included discussion of the Regional GHG Reduction Goal announced Wednesday, August 22.
