About This Site
This site adheres to web standards, which are technologies carefully designed to deliver the greatest benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of any documents published on the Web.
Source Code
The layout for this site was written using XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2. Most of the code validates according to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consoritum (W3C), except for third party code which we have no governance over. Our goal is to be fully compliant with these standards.
Javascript has been used for form validation, although it is not required to use our forms.
Accessibility
Priority Level 1 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from the W3C has been achieved with this site.
Some of the accessibility features of the site are:
- The navigation, content and functionality of the site is useable in text only browsers
- Text links have been provided for text only users to jump to the start of the content or the site map
- The site can be navigated via keyboard using the tab key
- Font-size can be altered by the user
- The main navigation will display as plain text links when Javascript is turned off or CSS not supported
