Our target: Zero Harm
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance is committed to continual improvement in our performance, efficient use of natural resources, and an ultimate goal of zero harm to people and the environment. Health and safety targets are set to reduce the risk of harm to employees, contractors and visitors to our sites.
We recognise that impacts from our activities have the potential to cause environmental harm. Our aim is to reduce these impacts and the consequent risk of harm, and achieve overall improvements in environmental performance.
We also participate in collaborative research activities to improve industry processes, practices and technologies that will reduce our impacts on the environment.
