The U's solar car, Centaurus, is on its way from Texas to Calgary, Alberta, with stops in Sioux Falls and Fargo. The vehicle is one of 26 competing in the 10-day 2008 North American Solar Challenge.

Ambition without borders
University of Minnesota senior Anh Tran, who founded the first-ever chapter of Biology Without Borders, was recently named a recipient of the 2008 Howard R. Swearer Student Humanitarian Award.
