On Holidays!

I’m currently up North, in the north, doing northern things with my northerners parents. I expect to be back and blogging regularly on January 3rd, 2006, but until then you’ll have to put up with my spotty updates and non-sensical posts.
I hope everyone is well and having a wonderfl end of 2005 in preparation […]

Happy New Year!

Well, here goes my last post of the year. I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year’s celebration. I’ll be living it up with some fine French cuisine (escargots - mmm!), champagne, and hopefully some bad singing, movie-watching, and French-incomprehension.
I hope everyone has a good one.
See you next year! :)

My Favorite Games of 2005

Well, I couldn’t let Next Generation have the last word. Here’s a list of my favorite games discovered this year. I’d love to hear what yours are. I won’t go as far as to say these are the BEST games of 2005, cause who the hell am I to say that? But here’s my nod […]

Taiko Drum Master Too Cool for Me

This, is really impressive and so far beyond my limited coordination skills that it’s not even funny. I may be able, after about a lifetime’s practice, to master the William Tell Overture on the evil taiko drumming game, but no amount of practice in the world would ever make me ready to try out […]

The Manufacturing Price of Xbox 360

Joystiq is reporting that Business Week’s initial estimated cost of making the Xbox 360 is off - by a lot. Business Week stated that Microsoft was losing about $126-per console sold, but it looks like the estimate might be off by a couple-hundred dollars. Apparently Insider Scoop estimates that the cost of making an Xbox […]

Next Generation’s Greatest Video Games of 2005

Next Generation has posted their 30 greatest video games of 2005, and readily invite others to send them hatemail if they don’t agree. I can’t say I agree nor disagree because I’ve sadly not had the opportunity to play all of those games. My New Year’s Resolution is going to be to get my […]

Hockey Players Brawl Over Game Rights

Last year there was no hockey. There was a big messy player lockout, mudslinging, deal-making and greed, but there was absolutely no on-ice action. That’s not to say that the National Hockey League Player’s Association (NHLPA) sat quietly on their hands through the entire debacle, no, they were busy making exclusive deals with […]

French Video Game Stamps

Ah, it’s good to be in France, for I get to go down to the post office (or “La Poste”) and get my hands on their Heroes of Video Games collectable stamps. This is their current book, which has 10 different stamps featuring Lara Croft, Mario, Donkey Kong, The Sims, Prince of Persia and […]

Xbox 360 Mod Chip Coming Soon

While some people are getting arrested for selling modified Xboxes, console hackers are undeterred and remain hard at work on the mod chip for the Xbox 360. According to sources, the mod chip will be released in a couple week’s time.
I’m sure Microsoft is thrilled by this news. Muahaha.

You’re Banned! Merry Christmas From Blizzard

Wow, those folks at Blizzard Entertainment sure do have an ironic sense of timing, or a very well tuned one depending on how you look at it.
For Christmas this year they’ve played a bit of a grinch, taking rather than giving, by suspending over 18, 000 user accounts over the last few months. […]
