At the Guilty (Gear) Pleasures panel at this weekend's Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Aksys announced the English-language localization of Theresia, a survival horror DS game developed by Workjam and Arc System Works.
The interactive exploration title is in the tradition of Shadowgate, though in three-dimensional environs. There are time-based puzzles involving poking around the caverns with the stylus to escape danger. Your character explores corridors, collecting clues on how to open doors, while avoiding falling into traps.
The main character is a female protagonist, though she is obscured during gameplay by the first person-perspective. Twisted family relationships are said to play a central role in the storyline, and according to Harry Chang, associate marketing manager at Aksys, the protagonist "loves her mom… a lot."
The game is slated for release this October in North America.

Looks great, but this part creep me out: the protagonist “loves her mom… a lot.”.
@kyle hyde - Would it creep you out more to know her mom likes to torture people?

Just wow at the amount of promising games coming to the DS in the coming 6-10 months.
