Scott Jones and his mother, Donna, had dreamed of opening a family- and kid-friendly restaurant, and when opportunity arose, Shakey's was born. Everyone in the family works at Shakey's. So Shakey's meals are prepared and served by members of the Jones family.
Shakey's is inspired by a bright NASCAR theme and features wall hangings of some of NASCAR's most popular drivers, checkered curtains and wall borders, and a custom-themed menu. But Shakey's honors all sports and athletes. If a game is on, come watch it with us at Shakey's on our 62" big screen television. And don't forget to bring your friends and enjoy some of our delicious appetizers and soft drinks. It doesn't matter if it's NASCAR, baseball, basketball, football, the World Series or the Super Bowl, we'll have it tuned in for our guests' convenience. Shakey's also features a "Wall of Pride" featuring photographs of local Halstead athletes. Shakey's was "The Hot Spot" Friday and Saturday night at the 120th Old Settlers celebration. Karaoke provided some interesting performances from patrons. Enjoy the "Closing Act" as Scott sings lead vocals of "Friends in Low Places," Live Audio provided by HalsteadKansas.com.
