Turkish broadcaster denies rumoured proposals to artists

TRT, the Turkish broadcaster have dismissed as rumours the recent news which appeared on various local media about certain artists having received proposals to represent the country in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.

We are working carefully for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but have made no proposals to any artist as yet” states TRT in answer to articles claiming that Hepsi and Gökhan  Özen have received proposals to be the country’s next representatives in the contest. The rumours, published in some of the most prestigious Turkish dailies, claim that both artists are seriously considering the alleged TRT proposal although the fact was denied by the broadcaster in a sttement issued earlier today.

An expert committee is currently working on a list of artists to decide on the most suitable candidate to succeed Mor ve otesi in the Eurovision Song Contest. An article by Hakan Yalcinkaya

Cyprus is gonna win ESC next year? [49443]

i think turkey wants to win esc with their own language (why not?) but that doesn't require trt to waste all the effort to produce superstar-sibel like thing to be far away from winning. That women was terrible well below turkeys proved standard with lovely Sertab.

Isin Karaca would be a great choice for Turkey in 2009. She has that greatest voice and a star brilliance.

we sent great songs but we could win only one.
and i think we can't send Gokhan Ozen because he is terrible for me :D (maybe us :P) and i think Hepsi will be able to be a good choose for us. but i think we must send
Hadise, Murat Boz, ***Ozlem Tekin***, Tarkan(maybe), vs vs vs
annnndd TRT did bad choose many years. but 1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2007 the bests...

Turkey has presented some very good entries in the past years. I think Turkey is nowadays one of these countries who take the contest very seriously, and they get rewarded for this with high placings on the scoreboard. But still, my favourite turish entry so far in nt the 2008 one(which seems t be extremely populat t many esc fans), but 2004, Atena, "for real", such an original song!

Turkey sent many good artists and songs in the last years. It's been among my favorites quite frequently, like this year, for instance. So, I think it won't be that difficult for Turkey to find a winning song.

Well as a Turk it will be shame for me too see Gokhan Ozen who is for 5-10 year old girls LOL! :D TRT should start and take some responsibility! Ok Deli was good not for ESC huh ?
For us the best artists will be : Hepsi,Murat Boz and Hadise!

I expect something better from Turkey then Hadise. We hear that kind of music too much in Eurovision, and she isn't the best singer either. I think this year Turkey was brilliant. I hope next year will be even better.

Turkey surprised me in a possitive way this year... "everyway that I can" unfortunatly wasn't one of their best songs IMO.
Nevertheless, they do have a tendency of sending good entries every single year.

I liked "Deli" very much but my Turkish favourites are still "Everyway that I can" and "For real". Good Luck :)

I think Gokhan Ozen is the closest candidate to represent Turkey in Russia. He was a member of TRT youth chorus,so TRT would consider him first.I think he can be a great choice
GOKHAN OZEN:

Personally I would also love to see MURAT BOZ:

and HADISE:

P.S:All videos are the last hit songs of these singers!

The idea of Hadise to represent Belgium isn't true for me. Yeah she was born and has grown in Belgium. I mean she has totally Turkish blood inside her. So she must represent Turkey or not another one (IMO). I totally support Hadise to represent us. And i really love ''Deli Oglan''s English version ''A good kiss''. It's much better for me. And i'm sure willing someone like Hadise probably do something better than all of her songs.
And I don't know what's goin on in Belgium but i think it has two parts and one year a part chooses the representative and next year other one. So this year right to choose representative belongs the other part where Hadise doesn't live. I don know am i true but i heard is from a belgian and i hope i understood true.
Finally it's glad to hear Trt to work on Eurovision carefully this year. Maybe they plans something like Song Choise by public. Let's see

o My god ..Mina , are u oke ? :) :) lol
It was awful song so far for me ..but anyway ..
But let me say that "i have never listened such a bad song before like this"...Turkey can prefer better ones ...Maybe it was okey but turkey can not be in top 3 without english language ...

If Turkey don't send her to Eurovision Song Contest I guess Hadise ll choose Belgium ...And It's ll be cool for belgium cause she's really succesfull on the music /pop kind ...

I doubt Belgium will send her to be honest. She will go for Turkey one day (maybe not 2009), I'm sure.
Anyway, good luck Turkey in 2009.

Last thing I heard was that Turkish-Belgian Hadise was going to represent Turkey in the 2009 ESC? Strange... but hey, there are still 7 à 8 months to go.
