Bobble up: Disney character giveway during Tampa Bay Rays "homestand" at Wide World this month

Attention, Disneyana types. Mini bobbleheads of three Disney characters in baseball garb -- specifically that of the Tampa Bay Rays -- will be given away to the first 2,500 people (age 14 and younger) to arrive at the Rays games vs the Toronto Blue Jays at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

On April 22, the bobble will be Donald Duck, followed by Goofy on April 23 and Mickey Mouse on the 24th. Click here to see them.

Roger Federer strikes a pose at Magic Kingdom

Here's a shot of tennis star Roger Federer, taken Sunday at Magic Kingdom behind Cinderella Castle, near Cinderella's Golden Carrousel.

He's kinda-sorta recreating the pose he struck for the the Disney Park's print-ad campaign that was photographed by Annie Leibovitz last year. (This photo by Preston Mack/Walt Disney World).

    Here's Annie's:

    What? No merry-go-round?

Eli Manning might come to Disney World instead

So Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning of the New York Giants still hasn't made it out to Disneyland, opting instead for a vacation in the Bahamas. And, according to the Los Angeles Times, Disney officials have been told not to expect him in the next two weeks and that he might come to Walt Disney World instead.

Elsewhere: Golfers and parks, Magic and Blue Man

If you're not a regular reader of our sports pages, you might have missed a couple of attractions-related stories over the past few days.

Today, Jeremy Fowler writes about golfers here for the Children's Miracle Network Classic. They receive free tickets to Disney World parks, yet some are (gasp) tempted by offerings from competitors up I-4. Most surprising to me is the high marks they give Epcot. Could it be that giant golf-ball looking thing out front?

Tampa Bay can be a kick at Wide World of Sports

Central Floridians yearning for a football fix now have an option at Disney's Wide World of Sports, site of training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Generally, there will be a morning practice and an afternoon session daily through mid-August.

Bonus: It's free. Even the parking.

To be honest, this is for the die-hard and hardy fans. As you may have noticed, it's hot outside. There's some shade to be had on the two fields, located just beyond the complex's gymnasium known as the Milk House. There's also bleachers and some chair-back seats.

On the other hand, I enjoyed the experience Friday, which was mainly passing routes. You are close enough to hear the hut-huts of quarterbacks (Jason Jeff Garcia, gruff and gravely). And when action run towards the sidelines, there's a bit of a rush.

There were hundreds of fans milling about. Mostly quiet but applauding impressive catches or letting out AWWWWS after near-catches. There are guys mouthing off about games 10 years ago and about the future ("I say we're making a playoff run this year," said one to no one in particular. "But I say that every year.").

A few tips and pix after the jump.
