28, more Neapolitan than Italian, more European than Neapolitan, I love to sit in the web's most babelian café every day

What could be more thrilling than to be involved in a great, media adventure? For me, creating a media like cafebabel.com is a new way to do politics, going beyond national borders. More than a commitment, cafebabel.com has become a passion

Prague, Brussels, Paris...professional experience and studies specialising in the Balkans, ex-Yugoslavia. I've always had that European fibre. I've hit the jackpot to be a part of this breeding-ground for European construction, comprised of its diverse personalities and cultures

Passionate about multiculturalism and the different ways of thinking and analysing our everyday life, cafebabel.com was THE project which I wanted to get involved in and integrate in: with a young, open team who are ripping to crunch into life and play their parts not only as spectators of European life, but actors too

Speaking four languages a day, grappling with the latest EU political headlines and nabbing Parisian cafes whilst still managing to get lost in the labyrinth of the eclectic Jewish neighbourhood where we work – cafebabel.com never lets up on its fast pace - which suits me fine!

In west Germany I'm an 'Ossie', and in the east I am a 'Wessie'. In France I'm the German, but in Germany I'm the French girl. There's a bit of babelian in everyone! To write across borders and to look further than my own nose on a daily basis is what working at cafebabel.com is really about for me

Drama, books or lyrics ... my first love was the English language. I crossed the Channel to work in London restaurants, met many Europeans and discovered what's great on the Internet to link people, share ideas, debate and learn. 'Erasmus' in Canada, two years in Strasbourg studying journalism and writing for student newspapers, here I am, become a 'grown up-lucky-girl-journalist' in a citizenship spirit, making the news local to global - whilst always learning from others

After living in Seville, Douala, Madrid and Paris, I feel the need to continue my adventures and innovate wherever I may find myself. Cafébabel.com manages to mix both these elements: challenge and discovery. How could I not get involved?

I have lived in Paris for two years. I am a former au pair, science of religion student at the Ehess and intern at the Courrier International magazine. I joined cafebabel.com as an intern in January 2008 and in May ended up part of an editorial team who speak four languages daily. They are now helping me come out of my Italian self; I'm all set for a European experience
The local offices are cafebabel.com’s participatory soul. They are the ones who nourish the editorial content, encourage participation and organise events. Local offices are located throughout Europe
