November 20, 2008 - We cover a lot of television here on IGN TV, and there's still way more airing than we normally cover. So in the interest of helping you figure out what's worth watching, we're slimming down What 2 Watch, a.k.a. W2W, to include picks for the following night's programming.

Each day one of the IGN editors offers their unique take on what's worth watching, recording, or is otherwise noteworthy. So, without further ado, here are our picks for Friday, November 21st.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: "Terror on Dinosaur Island!" (Cartoon Network, 8-8:30pm)

I've only seen the first episode mind you, but so far this seems like a fun show. I'm a huge fan of The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight, but I also was first introduced to Batman via reruns of the Adam West series. I think there's no reason there can't be a fun, goofy Batman series on the air these days, as long as it's entertaining. This episode has Batman and Plastic Man teaming to fight Gorilla Grodd.

Hey, I think IGN TV has an exclusive clip from this episode, showing the opening where the unlikely duo battle the Gentleman Ghost! Let's watch it, shall we?

X-Men: "Cold Comfort" (Toon Disney 8:30-9pm)

Having just watched the latest cartoon adapted from a big comic book, why not take a trip all the way back to the 90s for a little old school comic book cartoon action? While it's animation leaves much to be desired, at the time the 90s X-Men series was very popular amongst us comic book fans, thanks to how many storylines it adapted from the comics. The show also had appearances from nearly every notable (and not so notable) X-Men related character during its run.

This was the episode that featured Iceman, and also the 90s government agent version of X-Factor – check out the one and only animated appearance of Strong Guy!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: "Bombad Jedi" (Cartoon Network, 9-9:30pm)
JAR JAR ALERT

Let's go three for three with animation tonight, shall we? I am so oddly fascinated by this episode. I have issues with this series, but I've found myself really enjoying it more and more – especially recent episodes "Rookies" and "Duel of the Droids." But this week, the show is taking a big risk, by daring to feature Jar Jar Binks in a starring role. The character is so despised by the fans that I'm frankly almost impressed by the fact that here he is again, center stage.

The episode is written by Kevin Rubio, who knows how to do funny Star Wars stories well, whether it be his fan film Troops or his Tag & Bink comics. But is even he up to the challenge of making adult Star Wars fans not want to murder Mr. Binks? We shall see. Hey look, another clip!
