Starting in 1996, Alexa Internet has been donating their crawl data to the Internet Archive. Flowing in every day, these data are added to the Wayback Machine after an embargo period.
The PEGI watchdogs at Siliconera have discovered yet another PlayStation Network downloadable: Space Invaders Extreme. Taito's re-imagining of the classic arcade shooter got tons of accolades for its psychedelic visuals and music when the game launched on PSP and DS earlier this year. Backbone Entertainment will be responsible for bringing the action from the tiny screens to the big 1080p screen. No other details are known at this time.
The next episode of the Penny Arcade Adventures returns on the PlayStation Network. Considering you killed a god in the first episode, what more will you do in this new journey?
Some relatively easy golds make this top-down shooter a little more tempting. Astro Tripper is already out in Europe and should be released in the US within a few weeks.
So many of y'all are like "where's Lumines?" We're wondering the same thing too. Although the PlayStation site still says Lumines is out "next week," the video was actually created in the future, a future in which Lumines is only a week away. "We're targeting later this month, but not today and not next week," Q Entertainment's Kyoko Yamashita told us. There aren't that many weeks left in December, so the wait shouldn't be too long.
In addition, Savage Moon was incorrectly listed as being ready for release on December 23rd. SCEA's Scott Goryl confirmed that the date has been pushed back to January. The game is close to ready, but isn't quite there yet. You'll be able to find out more in our hands-on impressions soon.
Crash Commando, reported for release next week, will still arrive on time.
It's probably been a little while since you played echochrome but today you'll have two new reasons to go back and enjoy the mind-bending puzzler. The Trophy patch will be released today, allowing you to get PSN recognition for your mad Escher skills. Not only that, but a bunch of new user generated levels will be available to try out.
"A bunch" may be a bit of an understatement. There will actually be a thousand new levels for you to play. So even if you have exhausted the developer levels already, there are plenty more hours of gameplay being added to the game, completely free of charge. These levels, and the Trophies, will be made available in a patch later today. The patch also includes an in-game screenshot feature and the PlayStation Blog post hints at more features coming at a later date. Check out the video above for a sneak peek at all 1,000 new stages.
December 11: Lumines Supernova December 18: Crash Commando December 23: Savage Moon
Three weeks. Three games. The PlayStation Network is getting a huge update in December. All of these downloadable games come with Trophies, and they'll make sure that you'll be having fun in December, even if Santa doesn't get you exactly what you want. Enjoy!

Nobilis and Frozenbyte are bringing a new fantasy action game to the PC and PlayStation Network next year. Trine allows players to "create and use physics-based objects to beat hazardous puzzles and threatening enemies." Players will control three heroes that must use the "Trine" to save the kingdom from -- you guessed it -- evil.
Players can freely choose between one of three characters at any time: The Wizard is able to summon objects to help solve puzzles and create new ways to overcome obstacles, the Thief uses her agility and dead-on accuracy to swiftly surprise the monsters, and the Warrior unleashes mayhem and physical destruction wherever he goes.
"This is the first game we publish on the PlayStation® Network and we are thrilled to work with Frozenbyte on this very exciting game project!" declares Arnaud Blacher, CEO of Nobilis Group.
Interesting. If you boot up Age of Booty, you'll find a peculiar update has happened. Looks like Age of Booty now features Trophies ... and a Platinum Trophy to boot. Don't believe us? Well, how about this? Leave a comment here and we'll select five random readers to receive a free copy of the game. The rest of you will have to lay down $9.99 on the PlayStation Store. It may be the cheapest way to get a Platinum ever.
See the Trophy list after the break.
Leave a pirate-themed comment for a chance to win a copy of Age of Booty for PS3.
You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec).
Limit 1 entry per person.
This entry period ends at 7:00pm ET today, December 5th. Five winners will be selected at that time, who will each receive a code to download Age of Booty, valued at $10. Please check your e-mail!
The classic board game, Catan, is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network soon. This will be an original version of the game (not a port of the XBLA title), and is helmed by Game Republic, developers of Genji and Folklore. The download is scheduled to hit Japan on December 18th for 1200 yen. The game will expand to other territories, although a release date has not been set.
Although only one player will be supported offline, the online multiplayer mode will allow for four players to go against each other. Surprisingly, the board game will feature both 1080p graphics and 5.1 surround sound.
Surprisingly, two PSN games will be getting Trophy patches in the immediate future. Blast Factor, one of the earliest PSN games, will be getting a patch which adds DualShock 3 support and Trophy support. The game and its expansions will get 25 Trophies, although there's no word on what the Trophies are (yet!). The patch will be available for free tomorrow. Those that don't have the game will be able to buy it off the PlayStation Store for $10, or $13 with both add-ons.
echochrome will also receive Trophy support, although a date hasn't been revealed. You can check out the Trophy list for this puzzle game here. The recently released Brain Challenge also has Trophy support.
Those that have been following the Trophy Portal may have also noticed we've stealthily added a few other games and guides. Check out our Warhawk and Buzz! Quiz TV guides, if you haven't yet.
