Fire was reported at 9:06 a.m.
MISSION VIEJO A fire at a Taco Bell this morning caused about $25,000 worth of damages to the fast food restaurant, authorities said.
Firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the roof in the front of the business when they arrived at 9:11 a.m., said Capt. Greg McKeown of the Orange County Fire Authority.
About 40 firefighters responded to the fire, which was reported to be on the outside of the building, McKeown said.
The fire was reported at 9:06 a.m. near the intersection of Santa Margarita Parkway and Marguerite Parkway.
The fire was extinguished about 30 minutes later, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is believed to have been caused by electrical wiring on the outside of the building, McKeown said.
