They've denied it though, dismissing reports as "purely rumor and speculation."

Lawsuit Against Nintendo - Image 1This is just getting ridiculous. Yet another company is suing Nintendo for its Wiimote tech. The lawsuit claims that the Wiimote is violating their patent for a video game controller.

Guitar Hero drums - Image 1Activision has finally responded to all the complaints about failing Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments. Their response? "...This was an isolated manufacturing issue." Ok... so what are they going to do about it? They'll be offering a 'drum tuning kit' that lets you fix your instruments yourself. Aww, sorry, pal. Looks like there won't be any replacements going around.

Guitar Hero guitar will work in Rock Band - Image 1Just in case you were confused on the whole issue, a developer from Harmonix has clarified that the guitar peripheral from the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock will be compatible with the Wii version of Rock Band 2.

Nintendo patents a new Wii controller - Image 1Well at least Nintendo won't be sued for it this time. According to a patent filed a few months ago, Nintendo has a controller that a) never saw the light of day or b) hasn't seen the light of day yet.  At any rate, it looks as if it belongs more on an Xbox 360 rather than a Wii. But then we don't even really know if it's for the Wii. Details in the full article.
