CHINA'S FIRST Blu-Ray disc factory has gone into production in the port city of Shanghai.
The facility is the result of a joint investment by the Japanese technology and entertainment giant Sony, Shanghai Synergy Culture and Entertainment Group and the Shanghai Jingwen Investment company.
Located in the Songjiang Industrial Zone, the plant has an estimated production capacity of 500,000 Blu-Ray discs per month.
China had previously not been allowed to import Blu-Ray discs, so this plant's startup marks the advent of high-definition Blu-Ray availability for the People's Republic's consumers. µ

the Chinese will only copy the plant 44 times and then mass reproduce whatever they can get their hands on. Soon the 'retailer' on the corner will have the 20 cent BluRay movies :)
Then by that reckoning S0NY are still over charging there Costumers by 00,18¢. Just my 00,02¢...
Capacity of 500,000 originals and how many pirates?
