Cadillac Escalade Adds FlexFuel Capability For 2009

ATLANTA – All models of the 2009 Cadillac Escalade will be able to run on either ordinary gasoline or E85 ethanol, or any combination of the two, General Motors announced Friday.
And customers will have the fueling choice at no additional cost.
The Escalade, Escalade EXT and Escalade ESV as well as the GMC Denali, join the previously announced 2009 Chevrolet HHR, Buick Lucerne and Hummer H2 and H2 SUT as additions to GM’s industry-leading flex-fuel lineup. Read more

In an interview with Leftlane in March, Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor said if his company was going to make a “V” coupe, it would probably arrive at the same time as the regular CTS Coupe, rather than months later. A recent check of supplier sources provides 100-percent confirmation that the V-badged coupe will arrive in May 2009.

Cadillac BRX = Cadillac CTX = 2010 Cadillac SRX?

Reports indicate that the Cadillac SRX, born in 2004, will live on past the 2009 model year. It was apparently decided that a new name for a newly designed crossover utility vehicle was not the right route to take - and we think that’s a good idea. What was original to be named BRX - then CTX - is now, semi-officially, the 2010 Cadillac SRX - which will share it’s platform with the Saab 9-4X (among other GM vehicles). Read more
