Former PSP-turned-Wiibrew dev Red Squirrel has release a quick update for his mod of tona's AnyTitle Deleter app. In case you missed previous articles on this app, AnyTitle Deleter lets you delete almost any title from your Wii, including previously un-deletable ones such as IOS, MIOS, and some system channels. This mod makes the program show actual filenames instead of just ID numbers

An unofficial version of GeeXboX has been released by Wiibrew developer Tulkas. GeeXboX is a port of the popular media player program for the Wii, and can play all audio and video files that MPlayer can. This new version adds support for even more file system types. Details after the link.

The lemon man released his new homebrew utility for the Wii, Loadmii v0.3. To those of you new in the Wiibrew community, Loadmii is a small but powerful loader that can run executables from SD cards, USB sticks, SMB shares, USB Gecko and SD Gecko. Changelog and details in the full article.

Now here's a wicked display of programming knowhow. A programmer named Ryan Tani has slapped together a setup that will allow you to play 4-player split screen in the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3 using Wiimotes. Details and a vid after the link.

Google Earth, one of the more pointless but eternally fun applications out there, has just been given the Wii treatment. WiiEarth is a new program from PaulWagener and, like Google Earth, puts the world in the palm of your hands. In a Wiimote, no less.

Whether you're oldie or a newbie to Wiibrew, this is one app you shouldn't live without. I might sound like a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman, but it's true. LoadMii is the latest in a long line of homebrew loaders released for the Nintendo Wii home video game console. It can run executables "from any source" according to the dev, The lemon man.

FTPii is an FTP server for the Wii. To use, Copy ftpii/ to /apps/ on an SD-card and use The Homebrew Channel, or load boot.dol using your favorite mechanism (wiiload, Twilight Hack, ISO etc.). Once loaded, FTPii will display the IP address of your Wii and the port that it's listening on. It comes with DVD features too, but you'll need a working installation of DVDX for that. I really like this homebrew for some reason. Wii brew developer Alanceil is back with the Leveltool, and it's now v0.5. It's now better than ever with new features as well as a very nice graphics upgrade. Details in the full article.
