Sega just released a video of MadWorld, splattered all red for Valentine's too. It's almost a crime to have so much blood in a Wii game. Almost.

Which side are you on? Team Aliens or Team Predators? You might want to decide soon as Sega has announced that an all-new Aliens vs. Predator game is set to come out in early 2010. It's still in development at this point, but rest assured that developer Rebellion is working hard on it.

It's no secret that the Wii is where mini-games go to breed. Sega is trying to give it some oomph (ie, blood) with House of the Dead: Overkill, but when it comes to hardcore family fun, the game to watch out for is Overlord: Dark Legend. There's nothing like stepping into the shoes of a 16-year-old tyrant in training.

Definitely not something I enjoy reading about, much less write about. But the recession is really pouring down hard on the industry, and companies are forced to sack people to cut down on expenses. Now it's Sega's turn, and 560 less people are not gonna feel the love on Valentine's.

After laying low for a few months, On Shelves is back, bringing you all the games and their release dates for this week. For starters, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and LocoRoco 2 are finally hitting shelves after months of  screenshot-scrutinizing and trailer-watching. I haven't heard much about the movie sequel for Iron Man lately, and already they're talking about the movie tie-in game. Sega has announced via press release that they're now working closely with Marvel Entertainment to deliver Iron Man II. Considering that the movie sequel will follow Tony Stark's dark spiral into alcoholism, maybe we can expect some GTA4 level of how the amount of alcohol imbibed messes up Stark's skill in flying his suit. DUI? Why not FUI? That's flying under the influence, kid.

Forget the March 31 date mentioned in the last MadWorld update. Sega and Platinum Games will be bringing the ultra-violent game to North America three weeks earlier than that.

Out of fear that they'll be stuck with games in the back room that no one wants (not those kinds of games in the back room), retailers across the US have decreased their orders for games, choosing to focus on triple A titles. It's certainly going to be an uphill climb for smaller studios from here on out.

Guns, check. Gore, check. Zombies, check. Boobies. Oooooh.

Rumors about a follow-up to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii, DS) have started to circulate around the Net, thanks in part to an image spotted in Spanish gaming magazine Nintendo Accion.
