Familiar pitches in Chicago, Washington DC and a new Utah venue will host United States qualifying matches for the 2010FIFA World Cup South Africa™, the US Soccer Federation announced. One day after a 2-0 home victory over archrivals Mexico to kick off the North, Central American and Caribbean qualifying tournament for next year's global showdown in , the US squad finalised site selection for remaining home matches.

The USA men will meet Trinidad and Tobago on  1 April at Nashville, Tennessee, as already announced and face Honduras on 6 June at Chicago, El Salvador on 5 September in Sandy, Utah, and Costa Rica on 14 October in Washington.

"We are excited to be heading back to three great venues for soccer in this country," US coach Bob Bradley said. The top three teams in the six-nation tournament will advance to the 2010 finals in South Africa while the fourth-place finisher will meet a South American squad in a play0off for another potential berth.

The Americans have won three and lost three with two drawn at Chicago's Soldier Field but have never played a qualifying match there while Utah's venue is the new suburban home of Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake. US teams have won 11 and lost three with four drawn at Washington's RFK Stadium, the site of more American men's triumphs than any other venue in the world.
