CANIS LUPIS DINGO - THE AUSTRALIAN WOLF

At school educating the students about the top land predators role in Australian ecology. The 'bush policeman' as Lyn Watson termed the dingo - this 'lion king' concept is easily understood by the students. All the students and dingoes had a good time.

Eradicating the myths associated with ignorance  has been an ongoing task for all of us and it will continue for conservation. Much has been sensationalised in the media recently about the 'man and wolves' in England.

Our  wolf in Australia is a  prominent topic; our media has not the courage to place importance on and tackle this subject which there is an abundance of facts to create a fascinating insight into the wrong which our government has condoned in exterminating our dingoes. With a multitude of facts that are incredibly important this has been totally overlooked by the powers that be, as it is a political topic and the dingo continues to be exterminated and maligned without the public  having access to this important information.

We had our own dingo man with Bruce Jacobs at the dingo farm with 100 dingoes and the international community is screaming to recognise the dingo as heritage listed before it is all too late.  The last bastion of Alpine dingoes lived in the Kosciusko

CANIS LUPIS DINGO - THE AUSTRALIAN WOLF
(continuing)

National Park and last year Minister Bob Debus authorised the aerial baiting of this national park with 1080 which has killed some of these tagged dingoes according to professor David Jenkins.

The PRIMARY INDUSTRIES MINISTER Ian Macdonald (has no right to authorise the baiting of ALL NSW) One must question why the media have not highlighted this abomination? The public are left in the dark and sensationalistic shows would rather take a story from another about their wolf and forget our Icon completely which is the most maligned creature on the planet due to ignorance and a powerful pastoralists lobby.

1080 has been banned in Tasmania from last November.  1080 is banned in almost all the world and Cuba, Slovenia and Thailand banned it in 2003.

Pastoralists can use sensible alternatives ( lamas and Al-Packers ) to super toxins which kill Raptors, Reptiles and Dingoes along with everything else that comes in contact with this toxin that has no antidote. The secondary poisonings are extreme and destabilise all of the ecology. Disinformation about the justification is distributed frequently and it is harder than 'hens teeth' to gain a journalist with any calibre and integrity to touch on this story it would appear for fear!

Spreading knowledge on this topic will dispose of ignorance and if there are any dingoes round when these children are adults a responsible and sensible approach will be taken in conservation to save Australia's greatest treasure - the DINGO
