OPM POLICY UNIT STAFF ON SECONDMENT TO SPC

Elizabeth Wright Koteka of the Policy Unit of the Office of the Prime Minister has been seconded to the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) for two weeks to help draft it's Cook Islands Joint Country Strategy. It will aslo be an opportunity for her to familarise herself with SPC's policy and planning process, both in the SPC Suva (Fiji) and SPC Noumea (New Caledonia) offices. An SPC team was in Rarotonga last month (June 18-22) to undertake a series of consultation with Government ministries, community service organisations and development partners in relation to the development of the Joint Cook Islands SPC Country Strategy. A Mission Report is being prepared which will be shared in draft form with the Cook Islands government. Koteka ends her secondment on July 20th, 2007 source: GovMedia
