In Auckland, we take great pride and enjoyment in our city's beaches, parks and heritage sites. However, our environment is under constant pressure from both natural and man-made pressures, such as a growing population.

In order to maintain and improve the quality of our environment, we need to understand what these pressures are. The information collected in Auckland City's state of environment reports allows us to do this. The report itself, in essence is a score card, which helps us to see where action is needed to protect our environment.

Auckland City produces its state of environment report, called Our Changing Environment, every five years with an update in the interim years.
