well look at it this way, as sad as obsesing over a video game character as a sex obect is, at least she there not obsesing over the ps1 version of lara croft (now she was deformed).
Alyx is an amazing character in Half Life 2 and its episodes. The graphics and rendering were brilliant. And they kept her looking more average for being in a apocalyptic world or just plain bad place to be. I look over to "EVERYONES" favorite little adventurer Laura Croft who looks like a freaking barbie doll. Apparently she has time to splash on a little makeup before going out to kill some dinosaurs. Wile Alyx is happy just to play 'Fetch' with her giant mech companion, D.O.G. And possibly fix her jacket with duct tape. Which seems that's what shes done on her left shoulder. Best to save what you got when the world has been taken over by the combine.
It's pathetic and sad when people are obsessed with this kind of crap, but cool if it's just an occasional hobby. While "Alyx" isn't bad looking, I certainly wouldn't call her hot. If some people are that obsessed with her, good for them but it tells me they don't have much of a life!

Anyone who bashes Alyx for being just a video game character most likely hasn't actually played Half-Life 2 and the two episodes. Although I do think it's silly how some people act like shes a real person...but I just think shes great because of how well they developed her persona and character in the game.
This computer character's face looks like an ugly guy! The joke is on all of you who don't have a life ... with a REAL woman! LOL
I'm not going to say which comment that came before me (you can narrow it down, of the "many" choices) was ignorant and immature, but it was. Disregarding that, it's kind of funny that they made this choice for babe of the week-- it's an article that's been done before, the character's focus anyway, from Half-Life 2. Really interesting character and, yea, she's pretty hot in those jeans. She handles a gun well too, always something to look for.
dude... someone has kind've an unhealthy obsession with this computer rendered character. its time to get out of the house now. real people await... and remember your WOW skills don't mean squat out here.
