Rick Morrissey

Bio

Rick Morrissey grew up in Oak Park and still can't believe a local team won the World Series. He has been at the Tribune since 1997 and a sports columnist there since 2000. Before coming to the Trib, he worked at the Rocky Mountain News for 10 years, eight of which were spent covering the Denver Broncos. Morrissey also has worked at the Charlotte Observer, the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette and Star Publications in the south suburbs. He is a graduate of Fenwick High School and Northwestern University. His wife, Anne, is a grade-school teacher, and they have three children (Colleen, 15; Eddie, 14; and Charlie, 12.) The family somehow puts up with him.
