Universal Motown has been promoting their new girl group for a couple of months now, but this week marks the official release of the group's first single for the label, "American Cowboy." It does seem like this may be exactly the right time for the group to make their mark. The sound of "American Cowboy" carries more than a few echoes of the sound of Lady GaGa. Akon and RedOne who wrote and produced the track have made sure the single is timely and radio-friendly. "American Cowboy" is also a hot dance track.

Good-natured humor is an element far too often missing in pop music videos. Directed by Bryan Barber (best known for the stunning video for OutKast's "Hey Ya"), Kelly Clarkson's new clip for the single "I Do Not Hook Up" shows us a sexy, light-hearted side through depiction of seduction fantasies. In one moment she literally takes a fall with humorous results. As it begins to climb the charts, "I Do Not Hook Up" continues to prove that it will go down as a landmark Kelly Clarkson hit. Check out the video below.
