Randi and Kupono danced a paso doble together this week, which the judges feltlacked passion and strength.
The other male and female dancer in danger were Melissa Sandvig and Ade Obayomi.
Also on the results show:
• Top 10 group dance: Choreographed by Wade and Amanda Robson to 'So Much Betta' by Janet Jackson
• Musical guest: Black Eyed Peas, 'I've Got a Feeling
Next week, Ellen DeGeneres joins the panel as a guest judge, and Thursday's 100th episode features a special Judy Garland tribute performed by Katie Holmes.
Here are a few highlights from Randi and Kupono's exit interviews ...
Randi, on whether her elimination was a surprise:
It wasn't that big of a surprise. I kind of had a feeling I would be [in the bottom], just because the numbers the previous night had been so great. The other girls that I was competing against -- look at them, they're so amazing. So, really, someone had to go and I felt like I had a really good run. So, it wasn't sad, it was more content. I gave it all I had ... now I'm looking forward to the tour.
Kupono, on how he hopes fans will remember him:
If not for my dancing -- which, compared to these other dancers, they are like ridiculous -- my fun spirit. I like to think I'm a cool guy, a cool cat. I'm very happy and very positive. So I really hope they got that and remember that part about me.
Randi, on why she connected with Evan but not Kupono:
It's almost like the "It" factor. I don't really know what it was with Evan, we just hit it off right at the beginning. We only have four and a half hours, just a couple days, to get a number together, get the chemistry together. With Evan, I'm not sure what it was -- it just happened ... I just feel like [Kupono and I] didn't have time.
Kupono, on Mia Michaels' "addiction" routine that he performed:
The crazy thing is, I was telling Mia about it, she brought stuff out that I didn't know was there ... It was almost like therapy. It's like, I needed Mia Michaels in my life, I needed that piece, I needed [my partner] Kayla -- that whole moment, I needed it.
Randi, on dancing while wearing a wig:
It was [harder]. It wasn't just the wig, it was the whole persona that you needed to embody with the whole dance, I was supposed to be this gypsy. So yeah it was definitely hard, it wasn't my choice to wear the wig ... so when I got some crap for it, I was like, 'It wasn't me that chose it!' It is what it is. I basically did the best with what I was given.
