New 11V rugby Show to be funded by Oz
O: is funding a new rugby show on r r v featuring Austin Healey. the former England star and recent Strictly Come Dfliitmgcontestant. Called The Big Tackle With Austin Healey. the ad-funded programme will air on ITVI and ITV4, starting in midMarch, and has been scheduled fora six-wcck run. The show,which will feature Healey visiting five rugby clubs around the country in a bid to improve their fortunes, has been commissioned to emphasise 0:"s links with rugby. Fully funded by O;, The Big Tackle concept was developed by the agency Sport Entertainment, which has worked with Drum PH D, 0:'s sponsorship agency, on bringing the idea to air. The production company North One Is about to start filming the programme. Nick Fletcher, the head of sports sponsorship at 02,said the programme would build on 0!'s sponsorship of the England rugby team and its "grassroots to glory" support for English rugby.

Digit;iiL K.the bodyincharge of leading the digital television switchover in the UK, has called a pitch for its digital marketing account, currently heldbyGrandUnion. Meanwhile, another Grand Union client, the Energy Saving Trust, has also kicked off a statutory review of its digital advertisingaccount. The Digital UK business, which Grand Union won in February 2006. is legally required to be retendered after three years. Grand Union will participate in the review. The successful agency will begin working with Digit;i UK from the beginning oi March until October2012. The brief will incorporate the creation of all of Digital UK's digital communications, as well as the development of the body's website, which aims to raise awareness of the planned digital switchover and contains details on how consumers can prepare themselves for the move. News of the retender comes just one month after Digital UK announced that it would be reviewing its 1.5 million direct marketing account, which is handled by Rapier.
