The sage by Christos is a simple scoop neck empire-waist gown with a beautiful velvet ribbon detail at the waist that cleverly wraps around your bare back and ties up into a pretty knot. It's a very sexy detail thanks to the deep v-back. In fact, all of the embellishment is at the back - there are fabric buttons from the base of the v-back to the velvet bow detail at the chapel train, and that's it - but somehow it's more than enough.

For the bride who wants to look drop-dead elegant, we offer this stunning dress by Casablanca. The natural waist is highlighted by a wide sash, and fabric buttons travel from the bottom of the "V" at the back to the hemline. The French lace halter bodice is the key - it's beautiful and sophisticated, and certainly not fit for a "blushing" bride. Instead, we think this dress is appropriate for a real woman - and how many of us are getting married at 18 these days? Chances are that by the time you take that walk down the aisle you've lived quite a bit and there's nothing wrong in letting your dress reflect that. So say we.

It's hard to find a dress with a bow in the back that doesn't make us feel like a little girl playing dress-up - but this one by Oleg Cassini is an exception. The bow in this satin A-line gown is big but manages to become a stylish focal point instead of a ridiculous add-on because it falls sensuously down the back following the daring line of the deep V-neckline in the front and back of the dress,.

We find this dress by Casablanca bridal completely enchanting: The delicate lace overlay and front and back V-necklines are classically pretty and the slim A-line and chapel train are perfect on just about everybody.

We love how this dress by Eden Bridal combines intricate embroidery and beading with wide swaths of smooth satin to achieve a look that is both clean and glamorous. The trick is to add embroidery only where it counts (at the bust and waist line and the hem) and let the quality of the fabric speak for itself elsewhere.

Two other nice features in this dress are the wide straps on the bodice and the front and back V-neck lines - both are flattering to a wide range of figures and are easy to wear.
