Jonathan Levine to Helm 'Warm Bodies'

The recent surge of onscreen living/undead affairs is adding a new chapter about zombie love.

According to Variety, Summit Entertainment has hired Jonathan Levine to helm 'Warm Bodies,' based on Isaac Marion's novel by the same name.

The story follows a zombie named R, who struggles with his fate just as Edward Cullen struggles with being a vampire. The only thing that makes him happy is a living teenage girl, whom he decides not to eat (how sweet) and hides her from the other zombies. According to reports, the film's tone will be 'Twilight'-meets-'Shaun of the Dead.'

It's 'True Grit' For Christmas Day; 'Footloose' Gets the Boot

We hope you like your Westerns, because you're getting one for Christmas this year.

Variety reports that Paramount Pictures will unveil Joel and Ethan Coen's 'True Grit' on December 25, 2010. The film is a remake of the 1969 Western starring John Wayne, with the Coens' 'Big Lebowski' cohort -- and recent Golden Globe winner -- Jeff Bridges stepping into the role of Marshall Reuben J. 'Rooster' Cogburn (perhaps the greatest Western character name ever), with Coen Brothers newbie Matt Damon as Texas ranger La Boeuf.

The film follows the two men as they help a young woman track down her father's killer in hostile Indian territory. 'No Country For Old Men' star Josh Brolin is also playing a role

Is 'Creation' Too Controversial for American Audiences?

Paul Bettany as Darwin, CreationBack in September, England's Daily Mail ran a piece claiming that 'Creation,' the new Charles Darwin biopic, was too controversial for American audiences. The supposition, apparently made by one of the film's producers, was based on the fact that the film hadn't yet landed a distribution deal on these shores.

Well, the movie -- starring Paul Bettany as Darwin and his real-life wife, Jennifer Connelly, as Darwin's spouse, Emma -- has since obtained U.S. distribution and is set to open in theaters this Friday.
