Functions of the council:
The distinctive feature of the council of the faculty is to consider affairs related to the faculty which are as follows:
- To propose the nomination of faculty teaching members, assistant lecturers, lecturers, and their transference, assignment and promotion.
- To propose study plans or its modification with coordination between the various departments.
- To propose curriculums, textbooks and references in the departments of the faculty.
- To encourage the preparation of academic researches with coordination between the departments of the faculty and to publish them.
- To propose examination dates and regulations for its execution.
- To propose internal rules of procedure for the faculty.
- To propose plans for training and missions of the faculty.
- To propose non-curriculum activity plan of the faculty.
- To decide on student"s matters within the competence and direction of the council and to orientate matters that do not concern the council of the faculty to the board of the university.
- To look on issues transmitted to the council from the board of the university, or from its president or his deputy, to study them and give their opinion.
