A Brief Summary on the Follow-Up Administration :

The Establishment:
Based on the approval of  the Royal decree according to the circular No. / m 1107 dated 21/5/1410 A.H  issued by His Royal Highness the Deputy Prime Minister concerning the changement of the appellation of the  inspecting units to units of follow-up and the decision of the Higher Committee for Administrative Reform No. 190, dated  18/11/1409  A.H to change the name of the units that assume the functions of inspection in governmental departments, to units of follow-up and to be linked to the supreme command of the department.

The Vision:

Follow-up the implementation of the strategic plan and quality standards adopted by the concerned departments .

The Message:
Follow-up implementation of the plan for the financial year and reporting to the concerned authorities about it.

The Goals:

1- To monitor the implementation of either existing or new programs.
2-Follow-up of the administrative work and transactions at the university.
3-To identify the negative aspects of work in the university - if find - and to propose appropriate solutions and to develop the positive trend in work in a way to help to improve and to develop performance.
4-Follow-up the achievements of the academic and administrative departments of its plan by measuring performance and to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of these units.
5-To determine the extent of the commitment of the university departments with the regulations and systems, and planned procedures.
6-To develop and to strengthen the concept of self-censorship among employees of the university.

The Functions:
1-Carrying out control measures and necessary investigations in various sections of the department  and its associated units to ensure the safety of work and conducting  of performance.
2-Carrying out follow-up campaigns (inspections) for various units of the department and associated units to identify weak points and to detect cases of violation of the functional performance of duties or ineffective actions in the completion of the work and then work out to correct and evaluate the skewed tracks in cooperation and coordination with the competent authorities in the department.
3-Monitoring the progress of the work in the department and other associated units in order to ensure its conformity with the laws and regulations and adopted procedures.
4-Checking the complaints referred to it in accordance with the powers, on the administrative and financial irregularities and other irregularities.
5-To conduct investigations or participate in the initial investigation revealed by the censorship and with what is referred to it by the chairman of the department or the serious complaints received from the general public.
6-To control the working hours of employees in coordination with the Administration of employees" affairs. 
7-To communicate with the censorship and to investigate each everything that concerns the works of the body responsible in the department in accordance with the powers delegated to it.
8-To Work on the development and strengthening of the concept of self-censorship of the staff of the department.
9-Organizing and saving files and personal information concerning the follow-up functions in the department in a manner that helps to extract it easily.
10-Provide any proposals which would help facilitate and improve the functioning of the department.
11-The Preparation of special procedures for the work of the Unit in collaboration with the organizing and working unit to develop it.
12 -The Preparation of periodic reports on the activities and achievements of the units and the observations and recommendations on the development of the work.Thus making monthly and annually statistics on complaints and irregularities, and making collation, analysis, conclusions and evidences and submit them to the chairman of the department.


- The Ministry of Finance and National Economy "The Central Department for Management and Administration" is following up the implementation of this regulation.

- This resolution is to be sent to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by the Chairman of the Council of the Higher Committee for Administrative Reform for approval, and the confirmation of the chairmanship of the council of Ministers, in order to inform him about needed workers.
 
- The University has worked with this decision since issuance of the Administrative decision No. 193 by His Excellency the President of the University on 1/2/1411 A.H. And the work still is in progress with reference to the decision of the Supreme Committee for Administrative Reform mentioned above up till now.
