Briefing on The Deanship

A Brief About the Deanship:
Springing from the recognition of the Islamic University for its noble mission of preparing graduates with high efficiency. Who understand true Islam based on the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and in accordance with good understanding of the nation"s righteous  predecessors, and serving Islam by good presentation, and calling to it, and working on the dissemination of knowledge in the areas of Islamic and Arabic sciences, and their means in the world, and to contribute to sober beneficial academic and scientific research.
It is Conscious of the importance of communication with its graduated children in various countries around the world, and establish a closer link between them and their university, and to communicate among themselves, and to know their conditions and their educational and Islamic  propagation activities, and to meet their possible applications or requests, and the contribution to eliminate the obstacles facing them and to continue benefiting from their university, the university saw it fit to establish an independent Deanship called(The Deanship of Graduates Affairs) taking care and dealing with alumni affairs, and it contributes in helping them to perform play their role in the dissemination of good and peace for all creatures of the world.
Establishment:
The approval of the Council of Higher Education on the establishment of the Deanship of Alumni Affairs was Issued by the Resolution No.
  (32/49/1429) at its (forty-ninth) meeting, held on 2/4/1429 A.H.
Which was crowned up with the approval of the High Commissioner of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, The President of the Council of Ministers and Council of Higher Education - may God protect him - by noble guidance through telegraph No. 5150 / M B dated 3/7/1429. A.H.
Vision:
The Deanship is a leading channel for continuous and rapid connection, with each graduate to build a close relationship, and close links between him and the university, achieving the highest degree of cooperation with him, and to understand his needs, and remove the obstacles that faced him in the performance of his duties.
Message:
To Activate and develop ways of communication with the graduates, and supporting them with what enhance their role and their impact in the Muslim communities in particular, and human communities in general, and to promote communication between them and Saudi Arabia by using the latest means and techniques in this area.
Goals:
1*  To strengthen the University"s link with its graduates, and take care of their affairs, and to support ways of cooperation with them, making use of modern means of communication for the call to God.
2* Further strengthening the affiliation between the graduates and Saudi Arabia.
3* Developing the capabilities of academic, scientific and propagation in Islam, in the way of calling to God Almighty.
4*  To achieve unity and cooperation among the graduates.
5* To raise the morals  of the graduate, and seek to remove obstacles facing him so that he can do his job.
Tasks:
There are many tasks waiting for this Deanship, the most important of them are:
1* To facilitate the procedures of graduates upon graduation.
2* To gather data and information necessary from the graduates, and to arrange, and register  and to benefit from it.
3* To identify the institutions and bodies where graduates work and to contact them.
4* Follow-up activity of the graduates in the fields of education and Islamic propagation, and  strengthen their efforts, and help them to develop their methods, and expand their activities.
5* To coordinate the Islamic calling efforts of the graduates among themselves on one hand, and between them and between the workers for Islam in their countries on the other.
6*  Observing the practices of the graduates in the field of  Da"awa and education, and to study their reports and collect  their observations and benefit from them.
7*  The Organization of administrative and scientific courses, and guidelines for students expected to graduate each year.
8* To seek opportunities for graduates to work in, so as to benefit from those concerned with retirement and employment.
9*  Forming an association of graduates from Saudi universities in each country.
10* Seeking to provide Da"awa materials, and scientific books for graduates in coordination with the concerned authorities.
11* To benefit from computer technology and the Internet, to connect with  the graduates.
12* To communicate between the graduates and the university with scientific, Da"awa and cultural activities.
13* To conduct researches, studies and surveys required to work with the graduates.
14* organizing forums for graduates, and to select topics, and arrange their agendas.
15* To study the negative behaviors  which may be done by some graduates and work to resolve them.
