Breaking: ABC Family pledges more 'Greek'

Categories: Greek, News

This just in: Phew.

ABC Family has done the right thing and renewed Greek for a 10-episode fourth season, sources confirm. I’m told the decision — which, not surprisingly, hinged on money — came down to the wire.

My bubble show scorecard has been updated accordingly.

Relieved?

'HIMYM' First Look: JLo crushing on NPH

Here’s your first look at the March 8 episode of How I Met Your Mother, featuring a guest turn by Jennifer Lopez. The actress-singer plays a self-help guru who tries to seduce the Barnster. Or is it his tie she’s after? My lips are sealed!

Exclusive: Will Watros' 'House' call be extended?

Categories: House, News

House may soon be Cynthia Watros’ permanent home.

The once-and-future Lost star doesn’t kick off her multi-episode arc as Wilson’s first ex-wife and new girlfriend until April 19, but series creator David Shore says he’s already toying with the idea of keeping her around long-term. “We’re talking about that,” he tells me. “It depends what’s going to give us the most bang for our buck dramatically.” (Read full post)

Categories: 2010 Pilot Scoop, News

Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk and Jack Carpenter (The Return of Jezebel James) are set to star in CBS’ Josh Schwartz-produced comedy pilot, Hitched, sources confirm. The half-hour sitcom revolves around — yep, you guessed it — a newly-married couple who return from their honeymoon only to discover that their relationship has only just begun. Kreuk is currently recurring on Chuck, which is also produced by Schwartz. It’s all starting to make sense!

This Just In: Fox cancels 'Past Life'

Categories: News

Past Life has taken its last breath. Fox has decided to pull the low-rated (and critically drubbed) drama off the air, effectively canceling it. Original episodes of Kitchen Nightmares will fill the Thursday void beginning next week. Fox says Past Life will return to the schedule at a later date, which is code for “Summer Fridays!”

Will anyone miss it?

'Bones' exclusive: Season finale will be 'big' and (more importantly) 'real'

Categories: Bones, News

It appears real, non-imaginary sex might be staging a comeback this season.

Less than a week after House boss David Shore all but confirmed that House and Cuddy would soon engage in honest-to-goodness intercourse, Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan is hinting that Booth and Brennan — who, like House and Cuddy, did the faux deed last spring — might be headed for a legit roll in the hay as well.

It’s also possible I’m reading way too much into Nathan’s comments, so, to be safe, I pasted the transcript of our brief exchange below. Read between the lines and tell me what conclusions you draw. (Read full post)

Exclusive: 'Lost' star Harold Perrineau finds killer 'CSI: NY' role

Categories: CSI: NY, News

It looks like late Lost castaway Harold Perrineau is about to shoot another harrowing death scene — only this time on CSI: NY.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the CBS procedural has tapped Perrineau to guest star as a death row inmate who ironically finds himself fighting for his life when he’s trapped in a prison riot.

And that’s not the episode’s only twist. (Read full post)

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!

Question: What’s going on with Katherine Heigl? Is she ever going to be returning to Grey’s Anatomy? —Hannah
Ausiello:
Last I heard, she’s due back on the Grey’s set at the end of the month, which means we probably won’t see Izzie again until late April. Coincidentally, that’s right around the time a very special patient will be checking into Seattle Grace: Alex’s brother! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Grey’s is currently casting the role of Karev’s estranged sibling. For those keeping score at home, this will be our first time meeting a member of Karev’s troubled clan. Look for bro to dredge up a lot of ugly family history, including that nasty business about daddy beating mommy.

Question: What’s up with the Mercy West residents on Grey’s Anatomy? Will they be sticking around next season? —PT
Ausiello:
I’m fairly certain one of them won’t be. A reliable source tells me that one of the four has received his/her walking papers and will exit the show before the end of the season. Guesses? Scroll down to the comments! (Read full post)
