Second Season of 'Jersey Shore' Might Be Shot in South Beach

Isn't it funny how fast
'Jersey Shore' became a hit show and part of pop culture? When it first started it didn't seem like it would be much, just another reality show with young people with abs of various definitions living in a house together, dating, going out, arguing, and all that. But now you can talk to an 18 year-old or a 40 year-old and they'll probably both know who Snooki and The Situation are.
Now
Movieline is reporting that the second season is probably going to be filmed in South Beach. There have been a lot of
rumors swirling that the next season will be set somewhere else, perhaps The Hamptons or some place warm. Now it looks like a done deal that the show will film in Miami (though sorry, I don't see a crossover with
'Burn Notice' coming anytime soon - at least I hope not).
Is this a good idea, or is the Jersey Shore an important part of the show? MTV is probably going for "Jersey people try to fit in with South Beach people" controversy.

Alright TV Squad and Readers. I've got something that's been bothering me - help please.
Last summer the E channel had a show about the Jersey shore I think they ran 2 episodes before they canned it. It was just like MTV's show, but with completely different people(well they behaved the same).
Does anyone know what its called? I think it was Jersey Shore Unleashed but I could be wrong.

Um Bob only one cast member is from NJ. The rest are from NY. So its NY people trying to fit in with South Beach people.

I think the idea of moving to another place is a bad idea. The show is called "Jersey Shore" not "The Guido Life". I don't really need or want to see a 'fish out of water' show starring Snooki and The Situation.

It doesn't make sense to keep the 'Jersey Shore" name when you're moving somewhere else.
NJ/NY people to do not really like Sobe. I know cause I've lived there with NYorkers and they don't care for it. They missed the urban/jungle concrete scenery.
E! did have a Jersey Shore show too!

It makes sense to shoot somewhere else so they can get it on the air quicker. A beach town during the offseason doesn't lead to much drama. They are not going to wait until summer to shoot another season that would make it on the air in the fall, long after the hype over Jersey Shore is dead.
Season 3 can be back in NJ, shooting this summer and airing in the fall, whether with the same cast or a new group.

I was raised on the real Jersey Shore. Asbury Park, There was more excitement in the winter than in the summer. More things going on. Frost fishing, etc. No tourists to crowd you out.

It make sense moving the show to a new location. Jersey shore has gotten really popular on a short time. If they would go back to the jersey shore their fame would probably hinder their daily activities and the reality aspect of the show. You already saw how some people behaved towards them because they had a camera crew. Now that the whole country knows them, there are probably even more people willing to test the guys and girls of this show. A new environment where theirfame possibly hasn't reach a peak yet is the best thing to do.

i think they should keep the localle and get new people like the real world even if its a new set of guidos. Its sex and violence thats selling .A healthy diet of fights and some well toned bodies and you got a hit show.whats so hard to figure out.I also think they could have a show where they put all the reality bullies in a house together with a few hotties and it would be a hit whatever you titled it.Get people like Buddha,CT,Wes Dorral basicly the guy on reality shows that fight alot and some good looking women and you got gas for the fire and alot of ratings

I guess the "valley girl speak" from California will now be replaced by "guido speak" from Jersey." Wow, just when you thought kids couldn't sound dumber!!! It is pathetic to hear not so young woman (up to age 40) still speaking like they just came out of a mall 25 years ago in California. I'm sure this lasted trend will make an entire generation of morons as well...

Now I understand Conan's joke about him not having a show and Snooki and The Situation do. I had no idea what he was talking about, now I kinda wish I still didn't know what he was talking about. Never watched this crap, never will. Those of you that do, try not to slober on yourselves as you do lol

If you consider this show entertainment, look out. This is the worst show for our kids to be emulating;and believe me, they will be. Another excuse for a network to put money ahead of morals. Enough!!

Hopefully kids will not emulate this show Carol. Just yesterday I was telling my daughter the reasons why she needs to take a 3rd year of Spanish in high school and when I got to the part about "How are you going to get into a good university without a foreign language?" She puffed her hair up in a poof and said, "Hey ma, who needs college? I'm just gonna look for a hot Guido with a 6 pack and he'll take care of me." We died laughing. I think kids recognize this show is more like a cartoon that happens to be filmed with real people instead of animated.
