World 400m champion Sanya Richards whose favourite sport outside track & field is American football, says the kitchen is the favourtie part of the house. The Jamaican-born athlete loves R&B and Gospel music and her favourite snack is chippies banana chips while Montego Bay in Jamaica is her first choice for vacation.

American Camelita Jeter raced to another stunning time, 10.64secs, at the Shanghai IAAF Golden Grand Prix on Sunday, but said: “I am working hard but I still have a lot of work to do to challenge the world record.”
Only world record-holder Florence Griffith-Joyner and Marion Jones have run faster than Jeter’s 10.67. Griffith-Joyner’s world record from 1988 is 10.49, while Jones ran 10.65 in 1998….
I can say one thing though, I am certainly not giving up. My next big goal is the 2012 Olympics in London which might have a bit of a twist to it! I will be running yes but it might not be in the 400 meters….

I have taken a week off from competition, after disappointing runs in Italy and France. I can truly say this has been the most disappointing year of my career because of set backs, due to injuries and my dissatisfaction with my training program.
