During Wednesday's 'American Idol' auditions in Atlanta, 62-year-old General Larry Platt turned in a hilarious performance of a self-composed novelty song entitled 'Pants on the Ground,' a diss at gold-toothed hip-hoppers who wear their pants loosely and their hats askew.
"You know, I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit," Simon Cowell said.
Platt performed the song gamely, and even pulled off a painful-looking, stiff-legged split. However, his joke performance failed to earn him a thumbs up from the judges.

He was so obviously over the required age. I was surprised he wasn't turned away before the audition. It was, however, hilarious. If that song doesn't make him money, that would be an even bigger surprise.
The song is aimed at inappropriately dressed hip hoppers, and other blatantly homosexual wannabes.
I just thought those guys didn't know how to dress themselves.
You are a moron Gay people would never dress like hip hop thugs
Homosexual wannabes? You've got to be kidding. A person either is or is not homo or hetero - at least that's the gospel we've been given.
wow dude i can understand the comment about the hip hop wanna bes but all of the homosexuals i know..no i am not one, know how to dress...they dont wear thier Pants on the ground hell they dres FLAWLESS ha!
No Gay people dress like Gay thugs.
obviously some of you have never been to atlanta georgia. i have seen guys dress like thugs with gold teeth, pants sagging, tatoos all over their arms and neck. like lil' wayne, but were feminine as feminine can be. if they were not gay, then they were gay wanna be's for real!!!

To Don & Todd.
That was a dig at how foolish those guys dress.
It used to be that, in prison, guys would wear their pants low in order to impress upon others that they were available.
Like I said, it was just a dig at how foolish they look.
I just wanted to point out that you're very ill-informed about this topic. I don't want people going around quoting your ill-informed opinions as if they're fact.
In prisons, inmates are not given belts if they lose weight while incarcerated. This is so inmates wouldn't use the belts as a weapon against other inmates or staff. To keep funds down, they are not issues new pants if their current pair is too big. So, hip-hoppers are trying to imitate criminals, not homosexuals.
It's not saying it's not a stupid trend, but your explanation is just as stupid.
crys i hate to inform you but the previous comment was very much correct. for years in the prison system it was used as a sign to other inmates that you were available to service others "needs". so unless you have spent many years inside prison walls which i would bet anything you have not then i would suggest you don't make such ill informed comments.
