A Few Details About the New Conan Road Show
First of all, don't expect the road show to be a carbon copy of the 'Tonight Show' or of 'Late Night'. "[On] TV, things can be very small," said Kiley. "This stage show is going to have to be big. So I don't think he's going to come out and do a long monologue about current events, for example. I think it's going to be a romp. I think it'll be kind of fun, wacky things. Things we can't do on TV. It should be a very loose, fun show."
Also, if there are guests, they won't be doing the same kinds of panel discussions you're used to seeing on TV. "Hopefully we'll have some special guests that will be in bits and do things," said Kiley. "And the guests may change from show to show. I can't imagine there's going to be an interview about somebody's latest movie or something like that. But maybe there'll be some special guests that will perform with Conan or perform with the band."
Even though Conan's last week was filled with barbs at NBC, don't expect any overt jabs at the network, which retains the rights to characters like the Masturbating Bear. "Hopefully we'll have new characters," said Kiley. "And I don't think that we can talk about a certain network where we used to work. I think that we're all kind of ready to move on and go to the next thing, and I think this is part of that. "
According to Kiley, while the show isn't specifically an audition for a new show for Conan, it may be a good breeding ground for ideas they can carry over to wherever Conan eventually lands. "I think that hopefully some of the things that we come up with for this road show will be part of the new show," he says. "There was a lot of support for Conan with the Team Coco stuff, and I think it's to kind of keep that momentum going.
Kiley mentioned that Conan and the crew enjoyed 'Late Night's' forays into other cities like Chicago and San Francisco when they took the show on the road. They learned a little bit about doing a theater show then. And the main reason for doing the show is that Conan wants to be onstage again (anyone who has followed his official Twitter account over the past couple of weeks can attest to a sense of boredom).
"I think Conan's anxious to be performing again," said Kiley. "He loves to perform and I think he wants to get back out there in front of crowds.

I don't even want to say how much I paid for tickets to the Dallas show or me and two of my friends. I just know that I didn't feel guilty after clicking the submit order button.
I've always wanted to see conan live. And these shows should actually be better than the ones on broadcast tv. As much as I want to see him live, it means the world to me to watch Conan with my good friends.

Apparently Conan isn't making a penny from the tour either. That's according to TMZ though so who knows how accurate that info is. Wouldn't suprise me though. People can say whatever they want about his comedy, but they'd be hard pushed to find a blemish on his character.
