(S01E01) "Would you shoot me if you got the chance?" - Boyd Crowder
"You make me pull, I'm gonna put you down." - Raylen Givins
Here at TV Squad HQ, no one really jumped at the chance to review the premiere of 'Justified,' and that's not meant to belittle or embarrass any of the writers (except for one, you know who you are and my mother still hasn't forgiven you). We're a busy bunch.
That's why I feel so very fortunate that I got to watch it because it's one damn fine hour of kick-ass television and it's well on it's way to be one of the best hours of the year so far.

(S01E03) "You know Crosby, however hard you think it is having a kid, just double it." - Adam to Crosby as Crosby cleans kid puke out of his car
This week, things have slowed down a bit, compared to the land speed record that last week's episode achieved. And the show has started to grow on me a little bit.
It scored some great moments of sentiment and honest drama that were endearing and drew me a little closer to the characters, but it's still lacking in that other, all important area of the dramedy: the comedy.

UHF Station Goes Up for Sale on eBay
![The movie poster for](https://web.archive.org/web/20100317143539im_/http://www.blogcdn.com/www.tvsquad.com/media/2010/03/uhfver1.jpg)
WMKG Channel 38 of Western Michigan has put its airwaves up for sale to the highest bidder on eBay. The owner has put the station up for sale with an asking price of $550,000, but owner Bud Kelly has said he is willing to go lower if the price is right.
The still-analog network airs a series of live talk shows, church service broadcasts and a weekly live bingo show. But just think, under the right hands, you could transform it into a broadcasting powerhouse that can take on the majors with such imaginative hits as "Strip Solitaire," "Bowling for Burgers" and "Wheel of Fish" assuming you know a bowling alley owner, a chop-socky karate instructor and Billy Barty.
UPDATE: 3:27 a.m. - It seems that eBay has taken down the site for the station. That's eBay, crusher of dreams and destroyer of hope.
Animal Planet Gives Mike Tyson His Own Pigeon Racing Show
Animal Planet has announced that Tyson will have his own reality show in which he races his flock of trained pigeons against a series of professional competitors.
For those who aren't in the know, Tyson has had a lifelong obsession with training and caring for birds. In the video below, he takes Jimmy Kimmel's Uncle Frank on a tour of his bird sanctuary.
'House' - 'Black Hole' Recap

(S06E15) I couldn't find a really good quote to transcribe or even characterize this week's episode, because the whole turn of events are a jumbled lump of clay in my head.
Normally, a show that goes by so fast that I need a drag chute just to figure out what's going on would turn me away from it, but the dramatic tension that 'House' creates kept me velcroed in front of it all the way to the end.
Sure my head still hurts from trying to understand the science of it all, but the dramatic and even comedic angles makes for some fine-tasting Advil.

Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. Have a Heart to Heart
Now thanks to the people at Funny or Die, now I know. And knowing is half the battle.
The site released some cutting room floor footage from their recent "Presidential Reunion" PSA directed by Ron Howard featuring some funny, improvised dialogue between Dana Carvey and Will Ferrell as the presidential father and son.
Bear Grylls Hosting 'Worst Case Scenario' Revival
![](https://web.archive.org/web/20100317143539im_/http://www.blogcdn.com/www.tvsquad.com/media/2010/03/beargrylls.jpg)
Discovery announced that Bear Grylls will host six episode of a new survival show called 'Worst Case Scenario,' based on the popular line of books published by Quirk Books.
The show will put Grylls in a series of heightened and dangerous situations to teach viewers how to survive them or at least walk away with most of your limbs still intact.
This isn't the first time the book series has gotten the TV treatment. TBS turned the book series into a reality information show that only lasted two seasons and featured a fresh-faced Mike Rowe before he found infamy as the host of Discovery's 'Dirty Jobs'.
Convicted Serial Killer Appeared on 'The Dating Game'
Rodney Alcala, a serial killer convicted for the deaths of four women and a child, appeared as "Bachelor No. 1" on a 1978 episode of 'The Dating Game' hosted by Jim Lange. And here's the most f-ed up part, he won!
Buzzerblog found the actual episode on YouTube, that never-ending fountain of "Keyboard Cat" entertainment, of Alcala competing for the heart of one Cheryl Bradshaw. CNN also talked to one of his fellow bachelors who described him as "obnoxious" and "creepy," which incidentally is how most people describe what it feels like to watch a full episode of 'The Dating Game.'
'Sons of Tucson' - 'Pilot' Recap

(S01E01) "All right, boys. Let's play house." - Ron to the Gunderson boys
It's hard to dislike 'Sons of Tucson,' and believe me, I've tried.
It stands on Fox's Sunday comedy pedestal as a mix of borrowed plots and styles. It's got the attitude of 'Malcolm in the Middle,' the plot of 'Arrested Development' and the dramatic tragedy of 'Breaking Bad.'
But, hey, if you're going to borrow, borrow from the best.

Court Rules Cable Owned Stations Have to Be Provided to Satellites

A U.S. Appeals Court in D.C. refused to change laws that required cable companies to provide channels they own to satellite carriers on equal terms. Comcast and Cablevision have been trying to overturn the law in open court.
That means that thanks to Comcast's ownership of NBC-Universal, people who watch TV on satellites will have to endure marathons of 'To Catch a Predator' and Keith Olbermann's giant talking head like the rest of us.
